strange lack of updates on the case

By now they should know the cause of death- unless toxicology tests are pending

I would suspect a domestic or neigborhood crime, a truly freak accident, or an unfortunate and potentially scandalous personal episode gone wrong, before
thinking of political intrigue ...

Unless she was messing with the wrong people, she seems to be a fairly ordinary run-of-the mill political lobbyist and there are gazillions of her in DC

Maybe they were afraid of her being subpoenaed considering she worked for Pelosi and her husband is deputy director of legislative affairs for Obama. The other issue involved here is that the company she lobbied for has just merged with Duke Energy in a multi billion dollar deal. Low speed crashes in a new BMW SUV typically don't lead to fatal car fires. This absolutely does not pass the smell test.

There was this from yesterday. Seems like just sending up a trial balloon to see who salutes. Usually they wouldn’t be saying things like this at this point in an investigation.

We’ve all been focusing on the Congressional angle - but what if this was a hit based on her *current* work? the article in The Daily Beast says that the current theory is a car explosion of some kind.

“Turton was apparently getting an early start to her day because Progress and another North Carolina utility company, Duke Energy, were announcing a $13 billion merger on Monday.”

The even MORE spectacular possibility is that she was the victim of a BMW X5 fire. It’s the type of car she was driving - and they apparently have a problem with spontaneously bursting into flames!

I was shocked when I googled the term BMW x5 fire, and reports and videos of the burning cars came up.

Too strange for domestic, neighborhood or petty crime, IMO. Or accident.

Too much weirdness. Too many connections.
