Republican Party officials gave their votes, after several rounds of balloting, to Reince Priebus to replace embattled chairman Michael Steele as the party and pro-life movement prepare for the 2012 presidential election.

I don’t care too much about the RNC hierarchy and their machinations these days but this new Chairman being strongly pro-life is a good thing. However, he’ll have to align himself with conservatives if he expects much support. The days of RINO RNC chairmen is over. That’s another reason the Tea Party exists, as an end-run around the RNC, which favors RINO politicians and has shunned too many conservatives.
