I actually wouldn’t be surprised if the left pays a price for this. The left always suffers when people are able to see it for what it really is, and that’s what happened during this episode. It was hugely revealing.
The CBS poll the other day showing that people weren’t buying the left’s narrative may have understated things. At Powerline they have a Quinnipiac poll that shows people *really* aren’t buying it:

She was correct. The left decided this was the magic moment to put the blood on her. They now have every statement ever made by the left going viral. Can you say Backfire..........
In its modern use "blood libel" means maliciously slandering someone, accusing an innocent of murdering or causing the murder of someone.
Although, historically most often connected to the persecution of Jews, blood libels have been used against many other minorities. See this excerpt from the New World Encyclopedia:
"Blood libels are sensationalized allegations that a person or group engages in human sacrifice, often accompanied by the claim that the blood of victims is used in various rituals and/or acts of cannibalism. The alleged victims are often children.

If nothing else, one would imagine the leftist would know the popular literature. Remember the Da Vinci Code. The history of the demise of the Knights Templar was retold in that book - just one of many examples of a blood libel.

The irony in what you said is that the UK, Europe, and the world, in general, is, still, much more socialistic than the U.S.
‘Blood libel’ is exactly what the left has engaged in from the very hour of the shootings. Sarah Palin used the phrase correctly and accurately. The only Jews offended by it are liberal Jews who themselves hate Israel.

No, thanks to our dumbed-down, hobble-all-horses-together education system (coupled with the mind-numbing personal electronic entertainment industry) many people today -- including WAY too many who pretend to make a living with language, such as media mouths -- have no clue about idioms, cultural references, or such dusty stuff; that's just how old grandpa talks. He don' say nuddin' lak "bling", or "ho," or "shizzle," so he don' say nuddin' to me.

Instead, if an educated person uses a reference such as "blood libel," it only takes one hyperventilating idiot with a mike to get fools nodding to his or her moronocy that it means something totally unrelated to how it was used.
Of course, such fools COULD look it up (if they could read a dictionary). But that might pull them away from Oprah.
