Obama 2.0: The Reinvention Begins
The American Thinker ^ | January 18, 2011 | Ed Lasky

Posted on 01/18/2011 3:13:31 AM PST by Scanian

The year 2012 looms large in the mind of Barack Obama. After two years of decline in the number of those who view his policies, his performance, and his personality favorably, Barack Obama has begun yet another process of reinvention on the road to reelection.

Will he succeed in bamboozling voters once again?

The policy shifts following the November shellacking the Democrats received from voters are clear.

Foremost among these shifts to the center is the tax deal reached with the Republicans. There will be others to come, as renewed attention is devoted to transforming the tax code itself to make it simpler and fairer. There will be more feints to the center.

Barack Obama will adapt even more, altering his image so he can again appeal to the great center of American voters: the jackpot that every candidate must win to enter the White House. Will Obama be able to connect with voters, as every politician must, on a personal level?

Conservatives should not count Obama out yet. He may be cold-blooded, but he is a chameleon who can change the way people perceive him.

Indeed, he has already begun to do so. The premiere of Obama 2.0 took place in Tucson, where his speech was warmly received and a new, more emotional Obama was on display (the voice cracking brings to mind the lip-chewing of a thoughtful Bill Clinton). And the road show has only just commenced.

The daily push poll will be dutifully released by the MSM to help.

Obama makes things up as he goes along, assuming we all have collective amnesia.

As a candidate, Ohaha pontificated about tribunals, renditions, Predators, wiretaps, Iraq, Guantanamo, preventative detention. These are now either embraced or expanded. Iraq (“the surge is not working”) is now Obama’s “greatest achievement.”

Obama demagogued all those protocols for political advantage, then as CIC, he looked at the intelligence, and quietly adopted them all. Yeah, politicians do that. But only a completely amoral person can embrace all that he once opposed.

Remember that Ohaha's PR person, Anita "Mao' Dunn, said that the Ohaha team did not allow candidate Obama to be interviewed during the campaign----THEY decided what the press would publish about this empty suit.

The closest the electorate got to know about the Real Obama---was his unscripted remark to Joe the Plumber about "redistributing the income"----a classic Communist phrase.

Unfortunately, the McCain camp made no effort to tell voters what this would inflict on a constitutional republic.

The question is, are the Republicans going to let him of the hook?

I just heard ABC radio gushing over a new poll that says like 54% of people approve of Barry after Tucson.

Callers to the Orlando talk radio station are in the process of shredding the AP Obamacare poll right now.

Nobody’s buying the supposed “shift in public opinion.”

I don’t know who they think they’re fooling with that crud.

Check Rasmussen yesterday: 0 went DOWN during a football weekend, which is usually a good time for him.

If there’s one thing that’s consistent about Obama, it’s his ability to always screw up a given thing.

From the Chicago Olympic bid, to Martha Coakley, to the Gulf oil spill, to the Korean trade deal, don’t worry - Obama will find some way to botch his reelection - as long as the Republicans can stay focussed on substance, not style!!

He will finish driving the stake all of the way through the heart of the USA if allowed a second term. He will have nothing to lose at that point.

Just heard on the radio that Obungo will be doing something about regulations. Will never happen because this would mean he has to fire half his most loyal supporters. This would be EPA, OSHA and other useless eater Federal workers

I believe that was one of the polls that oversampled Democrats in order to get that result. Still, his whole strategy is to camouflage his Marxism wherever and whenever needed to carry out the Revolution. Clearly he’s decided a couple of years to the right when the House is going to pen him in anyway is worth four nothing-to-lose wild leftist years like his first two.
