Deutsch, Sharpton claim Arizona “has seceded” for not recognizing MLK Day

Watch MSNBC’s Donny Deutsch connect the Tucson shootings with the “fact” that Arizona doesn’t recognize Martin Luther King Day, celebrated today ...

...There’s only one problem with this analysis … it’s flat-out wrong. Arizona began recognizing MLK Day in 1992, after a long battle over adding another paid holiday for government workers in the state. They weren’t even the last state to recognize it; New Hampshire changed Civil Rights Day to MLK Day in 1999. Utah changed Human Rights Day in 2000 to MLK Day, the same year South Carolina made it a paid holiday rather than just a day of remembrance.

I don’t care what these liberals think so they should just shut up and go away.

Consider how many tax dollars we could save if we simply changed MLK Day from a paid government holiday to a National Furlough Day.

Folks could still have the day off, celebrate MLK Day all they want, and we save the country big bucks.

Virginia originally combined it with Lee-Jackson Day (a long-time Commonwealth holiday celebrating Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson) to make it Lee-Jackson-King Day. But since that managed to pi$$ off just about everybody they later separated them, with Lee-Jackson Day celebrated the Friday before MLK Day.

If you listen carefully, Sharpton hasn’t got a clue. He thinks Deutsch said “succeeded” and Sharpton starts talking about how the civil rights movement has succeeded...

Doesn’t this open up a great door for us conservatives?

I mean, if you are going to take the bad of AZ, then don’t you get to take the good, also? Isn’t crime much lower in AZ than average? Isn’t there less poverty? Esp. taking away the native American population skewing the data since they are under the FEDS?

I think, overall, AZ is doing much better than average.

On Mark Levin’s show Monday, he played the audio of this exchange between Al NotSO Sharpton and Deutsch(Douche).

He played it several times. He did so because when Douche said “secede”, Sharpless then spouted some nonsense and thought he was repeating what Douche said but Sharpless used the word “suceed”. He was talking about Arizona “succeeding” not “seceding” like Douche was!

He and Douche were on totally different liberal talking points, each thinking they were so so smart and superior. Sharpless had no idea Douche said “secede” and he probably doesn’t even know what that word means.

Why let the FACTS mess up a liberal attack?
