This whole thing with kids and guns in school is a lot like the problem with kids and sex. For pete’s sake they’re gonna do it anyway...may as well make it safe. The schools should stick a trigger lock in that bag of condoms they give the children.

I’m sure that two or three more anti-self defense laws will solve the problem.

geez, I have seen terms in this thread like “tan” the racial makeup of the school and now it’s “pity the poor white souls”

My high school in Lakewood Ca.(1979) had probably 1.4% blacks, would you have pity on them also, if so please explain . (is this because us white folk would of been mean to them ?)or is this, ‘the they should be with their own kind statement’ ? I don’t know where this dialogue gets us.

If anything this thread should talk about kids getting guns whether it is an affluent white son of a police officer or a black or Hispanic kid in the inner city.

What? Isn’t the school a gun free zone?

I find all of this hard to believe, because I know that schools are "gun free zones" and since we have laws written to setup these zones and laws that make it a crime to violate said zones, these must have been random, spontaneous, flesh wounds that look like gunshots.

The liberals tell us all the time all we need are laws that make this kind of stuff illegal and they would stop, so I am POSITIVE it was a spontaneous, flesh wound!

This happened in Modesto a few years ago. Guy set down his bag and gun discharged, hitting another student in the head. Think it was a beauty school. Girl may have died. I can’t remember.

The shooter is a teenage boy between the ages of 14 and 15..they have him surrounded..Prayers for the 2 boys and 1 girl who were shot

They probably dissed him, so they deserved it, in his mind.

Guns need to understand we are not at war with them. If we approach them with an open mind and without preconditions, then we can arrive at lasting détente. Using this more embracing, benevolent approach to interacting with guns; legislation should consider ways to make guns feel welcome. Let’s require teachers with concealed carry permits to take their pistols to work. In this way guns would not feel offended, and would be unlikely to react violently.

If you do that the SUV lawyers will be all over you seeking equal treatment.

1.4% White (46)

Pity the poor souls.

This is one of the dumbest statements I've read here in a long time.

of course violence incited by the tea party, even though these kids don’t care about it at all.

What are the odds that it is an illegal alien or anchor baby that is responsible?

50/50?

How does a gun fire three times when it’s dropped? Or, were they standing in a row and one accidental bullet went through three?

Coulda been worse! Imagine if the kid had brought a fox.

I think you have to have experienced the killing rampage of a fox in a henhouse to get that...I did.

Imagine a good mouser cat in the mouse cage at a petshop...

I distinctly remember Rush getting tons of gardenia scented candles from people a few years back. I know the school’s name is Gardena, but it’s a close enough connection that he should be blamed for something.

It does seem like a compelling logic. A few days ago I posted something similar to another article, and I got a response that this really should be considered a racial issue because of liberal profiling of “black” rifles.

I’m not implying anything... but....

Is there not a pattern to every time folks start kicking around new “gun control” laws, we conveniently see an increase in gun-related problems... a Rep in Arizona, now a school shooting...

Of course, these same folks completely ignore the unquestionable evidence and statistics that prove that MORE guns, and the right to carry reduces gun violence.
