It’s still logic and reason. But it is a logic founded on emotions and not fact. It is reasoning based on the emotional experience.
Ever watch Ceasr Millan work a dog out of some dog neurosis? It’s all an emotional work through. He applies reason and logic, in order to direct the dog’s emotions back to normal — without such highly-intelligent and wise mentoring and direct handling the dog could well infect an entire pack with its aberrant behavior.
We, the rationalists, often take our higher-order human rationality for granted, and are ignorant of just how RARE it is. Many, perhaps even MOST humans on this Earth today do NOT think like we do — they think emotionally.
Cesar, the Dog Whisperer, knows he can’t TALK to the emotion-driven dog in a rational way, instead he engages the dog at the level it understands and reacts to, and moves it back to stability.
This is how we, eventually, have to come to deal with the liberal mind. But humans aren’t dogs, and it certainly isn’t as clear or simple how we can reach them.
Nor was it that clear or simple for Cesar to reach his level of wisdom regarding dogs — it took him a lifetime of studied direct observation and experiment. And a man like Cesar is rare.
But here’s a few tips: We have to be the pack leaders, and not reward bad behavior.
Unfortunately, we have 40 years of rewarding bad behavior in the form of entitlement programs. It will be a hard road to reverse all that damage.
