They became godless liberals and now they are pathetic human beings. Just contrast parts of the country politically/culturally and see the conditions of the economy, crime and other factors.

Ms. McCarthy appears to me to be a deeply disturbed person whose sense of logic has been warped by her personal tragedy. Unfortunately, sinister elements in the Media and the Democrat Party to whom the Constitution and Bill of Rights are merely an inconvenient piece of paper obstructing the ability of the better class to control us lesser mortals have employed her for their own ends.

I remember when McCarthy ran for office for the very first time. She claimed to be a lifelong Republican that changed over to Democrat because of the gun control issue. She claimed that she still supported everything the Republicans did and said on all other issues. The gun control issue being the only reason for her switch.

A couple weeks later I watched her give a campaign speech in which she denounced Republicans on Medicare and Social Security. Claiming that Republicans wanted to throw old people out into the streets, etc. She had dusted off an old DNC propaganda handbook and was reciting it word for word while some DNC handler of hers stood beside her smiling. A few years ago the liberal ADA gave her a 90 liberal rating.

McCarthy, who was first elected to the House of Representatives in 1996, said she has more than 40 co-sponsors for the bill so far, and that while no Republicans have stepped up to support her proposed ban on high-capacity clips, McCarthy is working to gain Republican support, has requested a meeting with Speaker of the House John Boehner, and is also working to set up a meeting with President Obama to discuss the measure.

If Castle from Delaware and Mark Kirk from Illinois' 10th Congressional District north of Chicago were still in the House, they probably would have jumped on it. Castle is now history, good riddance, and Kirk has to worry about votes from the whole state of Illinois.

IT’S NOT THE GUNS OR CLIPS. Shut down the criminal element....problem solved. Our country is turning into a criminal haven..........including Washington DC.

Crime is irrelevant. This was a psychotic nut by all indications hoping for suicide.

McCarthy’s measure will be stonewalled by Boehner. Case closed.

Thanks, but your lesson is still wasted on a liberal. They still think all parts of an icky gun are the same.

Ironically, if magazines holding over 10 rounds had been banned, Loughner might well have chosen a heavier caliber, such as a .45 ACP or a .44 Magnum revolver, since the ability to get high-capacity magazines is a major selling point for semiautomatic pistols in 9 mm Parabellum. And in that case, Gabby Giffords, who’s making a nice recovery, would be either dead or horribly disabled.

Her husband was killed by a lunatic black man who hated white people.

That is definitely worth remembering, along with the fact that his attorney, the despicable William Kunstler, tried to justify his crime with a "black rage" defense.

I’ll respond to Congresscritter McCarthy in true, sensitive, deeply meaningful and respectful NFHale Civil Discouse 101 fashion (with an honorable nod to my buddy Gilbo_3 for verbiage):

“Bite me, ya ignorant commie B*tch. Molon labe.”

Was that mean? Was that harsh? Was that wrong? Do I care?

In other words...did I elevate the debate to new heights of civility??? THAT is the question one must ask oneself at all times...

“...She claimed to be a lifelong Republican that changed over to Democrat because of the gun control issue...”

She is exactly what she has always been - a lunatic fringe liberal.

Her husdband’s tragic death just gave her the sainthood to proselytze and a soapbox to preach from.

“Never let a crisis go to waste”...she learned it well from her handlers.

She needs to be sent home to whatever asylum she came from and be replaced.

Never forget: the American Revolution began when the British tried to take the Colonists’ guns.

Horse, barn door. Why must they always do something that is obviously mischievous just so they will be thought doing something This is like King's proposal to put all public officials into a protective bubble. It is bad enough that the President is more isolated than a medieval king.

I had forgotten that the Communist traitor-lawyer Kunstler was his attorney. I remember the "black rage" defense; I had forgotten that it was Kunstler's squeezeout and that it was part of the Ferguson case.

Tks for the reminder. Kunstler's Red shysters are still around ..... trying to get George W. Bush and Dick Cheney dragged off to The Hague for a Leftist show-trial.
