China's rapid growth is often painted as a threat to American interests. But President Obama said today that the country's economic progress benefits the United States and opens the door to greater international stability and humanitarian progress.

"We welcome China's rise," Mr. Obama said at a press conference at the White House with Chinese President Hu Jintao. "I absolutely believe that China's peaceful rise is good for the world, and it's good for America."

A more robust China will also give the U.S. a stronger partner on international issues like counter-terrorism efforts and climate change, Mr. Obama argued --so long as China functions as a responsible actor on the world stage.

Yeah, China is going to rise and be a good citizen. It will be great for America. (roll eyes) Obama always kisses the feet of these world leaders.

Sounds like that thing folks say (not sure if it is a movie line or what)”

“I, for one, welcome our new alien overlords...”

Barry won't be able to stick to prepared script about China for much longer. They say what they think and they think he's an idiot. Just like Putin, Hu has been briefed on how mentally sick Barry really is and they'll use that information to manipulate him. When Barry finally has his anti-China tantrum, Hu and the top dogs in China will have exactly what they're fishing for, a reason to paint the whole US of A as insane and untrustworthy for having elected Barry in the first place.

Of course, they're right, only a sick society would elect someone who is clearly a mental basket case like little Barry Soetoro.

"We welcome China's rise," Obama said at a press conference...

Every time I heard that phrase today, I couldn't help but think Dr. Frankenstein's command to his Monster.

"RISE!"

“I absolutely believe that China’s peaceful rise is good for the world, and it’s good for America.” ...Barak Obama

To me this sounds a lot like “peace in our time.”

It is not good for America. It is not good for the world. I seriously doubt it will be peaceful.

Zer0 is not making friends among the American people with this extravegant kiss-ass toward China. The UAW, big labor
is another Zer0 discard.

Liberals and conservtives have deep concerns over China’s
ambitious economic and military objectives. A liberal safety mom said if Volvo
was manufactured in China she would buy American or
Japanese. Why? Because the Chinese put lead paint on her children’s toy’s.
