Actually, the reason your dishwasher doesn’t clean anymore is because phosphates have been removed from almost every dishwashing detergent. Check the box - would almost bet it says that on the box so you can feel good about yourself. Some environmental hooey. BTW, I think “Finish” is one of the last dishwashing detergents to have phosphates still in it. Stock up.

Incidentally, when my wife & I discovered the NO PHOSPHATES change, we did some research and discovered that hospitals, restaurants & certain others are exempt and can still buy and use detergents with phosphates. So go to their suppliers & buy in bulk...we have been.

It may be that or the fact the new dish washers spray so much less water at lower pressure or both.

Excellent - that is what I use.

I hate the way the environmental nazis are infiltrating every aspect of our lives. My new washing machine doesn't really have a hot water option. What is marked 'hot' is really hot water mixed with some warm. I have to turn off the cold spigot to the washer to get truly hot water. I'm sure they are taking our choices away in areas I haven't even noticed yet.

Just discovered that about a month ago: Finish does a far better job than anything else we've tried.

Now how about laundry detergents?
I can't get a shirt to come out white anymore!
