The article doesn't mention that when faced with a similar problem, Israel instituted a policy of arming teachers, and the program has been wildly successful.

But then, this is the Washington Post.

Wouldn’t it be cheaper to put Bibles in the schools?

The violence that we see in the schools is a sign of cultural decay, most likely caused by a a lack of fear of God. A national revival will help to cure this. I believe that having arms in schools is a healthy way to reinforce the Constitutional right to keep and bear arms.

Notice that the headline writer equates allowing teachers to be armed to “Giving Guns to Teachers”, which is nowhere in the article.

Leftists use every opportunity to confuse people about property rights.

We can also start rearming teachers with these alongside the .45 ACP.

Even though the angels tell us to “fear not”, there should be a healthy respect (awe, reverence, etc.) Because this is missing in so many homes, the inevitable effect is a coarsening of society (Hobbes’ “nasty, brutish and short”)

Corporal punishment works.

It does as a treatment for ADHD. IMHO ADHD is caused by excessive blood flow to the brain. Paddling another portion of the anatomy draws some of the blood from the brain allowing the brain to function correctly.

Security experts and gun control advocates cited a number of dangers, including the possibility of a child finding a gun brought into school by a teacher and shots going awry in an emergency. But why let common sense get in the way? Lets see there have no instances of accidents, attacks, or assaults since they allowed teachers to carry weapons, so of course we should take them away. I keep thinking that if Teachers or studetns had been carrying at Virginia Tech, or some of the teachers at Columbine we would not have seen such horrific numbers. I also seem to recall that a number of Church shootings were ended by an armed member of the congregation before the police arrived.
