Questions about the photo taken at the dock...

1. Do the uniformed men appear to be US Navy, or might they be captain and officer from a cargo ship? Perhaps a cargo ship from The Black Star line, established by Nkrumah of Ghana, used by African-American expats to and from african countries...

2. Is there anything to indicate where that dock is, other than the fake lei and the Hawaiin shirts?

3. Do the four people on the left, the two men on the right, and the asian woman in front in the black dress, appear out of place with five dock workers in the background, and the three crew crouched in the foreground?

4. If that is Stanley Armour and the kenyan son of a goat-herder standing together, then how could they appear to be the same height? Stanley Armour Dunham was over 6’ and the kenyan was 5’8” IIRC.

5. Who is attached to the hand over the alleged kenyan son of a goat-herder? .

Couple thoughts about the photo.

1. The sailor looking guys’ whites are way, way too white for the photograph. I don’t know the correct technical word for it but they’re just too darn white.

2. If I could see the leis more close up or with more definition it would help, since I am extremely familiar with leis and used to make many myself. They look too thick. Mostly people use plumerias which are much smaller and you can see the individual flowers. The leis are so thick they look like carnations which are not so much used since they don’t grow everywhere like plumerias, or ginger, or other local flowers. Especially then I am sure the were not so much used as they had to be imported from CA, pretty sure about that.

3. It looks like two different photos merged together. One with the sailors and black crew members or whatever they are, and one with the people in Hawaiian attire. The values are different for the two different groups.

4. They “V” fingers seem to belong to no person. They are white fingers and there doesn’t appear to be a Caucasian in that vicinity other than Stanley and his hand could not be doing that.

5. Even if Stanley is not standing up straight, the Kenyan could not be that tall in comparison.

6. The head in the dock photo looks exactly the same as the head in the sitting down party photo. Exactly. As though they took the party head, darkened it up, and placed it on someone’s body for the dock photo, and then created a crowd scene from two different photos.
