The new Republican House majority leader says he doesn't think questions about President Barack Obama's citizenship should play a role in the discussion of policy matters.

Two years into the Obama administration, so-called birthers continue to argue that Obama isn't a natural-born citizen and that he hasn't proved he's constitutionally qualified to be president. Birth records in Hawaii haven't dissuaded them.

Ever since Gov. Abercrombie reopened the Birth Certificate controversy, the response of the MSM has been very interesting.

Initially the MSM embraced Abercrombie and gave his stupid comments about 'proving' Barry was born in Hawaii more play than I thought they would. It seems the MSM actually believed the loose cannon Abercrombie knew something about Barry's birth and could deliver the goods.

It quickly became obvious that Abercrombie was talking out his ass and was clueless about Barry's actual long form birth certificate.

Friday afternoon (when all gov't officials dump bad news) Abercrombie had his press secretary put out a statement saying the Atty General would not let him release any more info. AP in particular put out this story and ALL the major media papers picked it up. Even the NY Slimes and Fox News online ran the AP story.

This morning, the coverup continued, with David Gregory ambushing Eric Cantor about the 'crazy talk' about Barry's BC. Anybody who watch Gregory's hysterical insistence that Cantor condemn ANYONE who questioned the POTUS's birth could tell this was just another part of the MSM strategy to cover up for Abercrombie's insanity in bringing up the issue again.

Look for the MSM to now let the issue die, and to attack anyone who brings it up again. The White House attack machine at work again, reining in the rogue Governor Abercrombie and trying to discredit in advance any future claims of the legitimacy of Barry's birth.

Birth records in Hawaii haven't dissuaded them

What birth records?

That's the whole point: none have been produced. Or ever WILL be.

I watched it. I was hoping and hoping Cantor would say, “well if we could just see the birth certificate then the matter would be settled, wouldn’t it David?”

All it will take is a couple of states to pass laws stating that a long version birth certificate is required to pass eligibilty to get on the NOV 2013 ballot .... You know the one that actually has a witness to your birth notated on it.... So that there is no question as to your constitutional eligibility ... No wonder Obama doesn’t like the constitution the way it is written...

Good for Cantor. He also thinks the moon is made of green cheese and that everybody has the right to their opinion.

That's fine, but Obama's genesis is not a matter of opinion but of fact.

I don’t blame Cantor. After all what does it matter now? There is NO WAY the Dems will support removing him from office, if they wouldn’t remove someone with a felony perjury on him. So why bother, when there are MUCH BIGGER fish to fry. Also, for 2012...I think the Dems see a Jimmy Carter blowout (i.e., 1980) coming, and would just as well like him to go away after this term is up.

First, I don't know why Republicans go on these stupid shows. They must know by now the hosts are only interested in getting them into no-win situations.

Second, if they are going to go on these shows, the best thing for them to do is say, "I'm not even going to engage."

if hillbuzz is right - it isn’t a question of citizenship, but a question of his legal name - and the documents he’s been signing that name on.

Let’s look into Muslim Law....My research indicates that the Father being a Muslim is the determination of the newborn’s status and the child is a Muslim.

The new Republican House majority leader says he doesn't think questions about President Barack Obama's citizenship should play a role in the discussion of policy matters.

Wouldn't it be "unconstitutional" for Barry to be POTUS if he isn't a U.S. citizen? Even his buddy Abercrombie can't find any proof Barry was born in Hawaii.

Sorry but republicans would be idiots to join the birther movement.

That said, I think a few could suggest Obama tell the Hawaii governor to release his records. After all that’s what the democrat governor said would be good for the country.

And if it were any republican, they’d be asking him this every day, because there must be something embarrassing about those records.

As a proud birther, and one who has to periodically produce my birth certificate to maintain my security clearance, I have one thing to say Cantor et al. Let Barry O prove he was born in Hawaii.

One other thing I am not afraid to be called names either marxist dims or cowardly spineless pubbies. We "Crazies" have been right over and over again about the left's planned destruction of our country and how they are carrying it out. We are correct about this also. BTW, I want to see his college records also.

“Eric Cantor says he believes Obama is a citizen...”

— — —

Hey Eric, since you are so sure, why don’t you provide ALL the evidence you have that has made you believe Zero is a US citizen. I need to be as sure as you are, so just provide the proof for us, mmmkay?....

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor says he believes Obama is a citizen and that most Americans are beyond that question.

Ignorant and stupid and guessing not verifying is no way to go through Congress...if this guy is a leader we are on the Titanic.

Whatever cantor says must be viewed with the knowledge the dirt bag supported and whipped support for tarp, and now he tries to lie about that.
