Issa will sit with previous Democratic oversight Chairman Ed Towns at State of the Union

Top GOP oversight official Rep. Darrell Issa announced he will sit with the previous chairman of the House oversight committee at the State of the Union, Democratic Rep. Edolphus Towns, in a move he says shows his willingness to move beyond “partisan entrenchments.”

The move comes as Towns’ replacement, the newly appointed top Democrat Rep. Elijah Cummings, is staking out a role of combative foil willing to fight for every inch.

Issa and Towns got along well during Towns’ tenure as chairman over the last two years, but many Democrats saw Towns as a weak leader of the committee unable to keep Issa in check.

Today, the contrast between the genial Towns-Issa relationship and the increasingly bitter Towns-Cummings relationship is particularly palpable as the two have traded warring letters over the direction of the committee.

I thought Barack the Kenyan said that the Republicans had to “sit in the back”.

You republican party hacks listen up... when you call us Conservative donors to beg us to believe you this time and donate to your war chests... you just ask your democrat party BFF’s that you are sitting next to, to finance your next election... because if you are going to sleep with the enemy... you should be paid by the enemy for your services... that is all.

This “sitting together” thing is completely ridiculous, but I guess it will give all the pundits something to talk about before the speech begins. Too bad for Olbermann that he’ll have to sit this one out.

So far Issa has delivered precisely ZERO except for flapping his jaws.

The time for talk is over, Darryl. You’re not new to that game or that committee. You know darn well just what needs to be done. Stop talking and GET BUSY! Stand and deliver. Now.

I have some really nutfilled liberal moonbats in my neighborhood. I asked one of the queen moonbats that lives next door if I could come over and sit between her and her princess lifemate partner to watch the president's speech? You know, in the name of being all civil and respectful. We get along fine and she told me to watch it with her because the others in the neighborhood are holding a pagen sacrifice ceremony when the speech is over and she saw my name on the list. I'd be safer with her.

She does give as good as she gets.

Tis SOTU should have been a big statement moment for our new masive majority. Tees idiots flubbed it, just like they flubbed the big tax compromise and allowed this ass to dance on the graves of six dead Arizona citizens. This is starting out in disastrous a manner.

Patton said:

“Never allow your enemy to pick the battlefield”.

The republicans do not even realize that they are locked in a battle.

The republicans have allowed obama to completely reverse ALL of the massive momentum that we delivered to their sorry party in November of last year... they have wasted everything that we all worked so hard for. They didn't earn it... they have no respect for it... we earned it... we caused this revolution to happen... not republican party commissars.

How do we continue to battle our enemies on the front lines, when our Officer Corps starves us of needed supplies and is surrendering every battle... even before the battle has been engaged?

Oh he might have plenty of back bone, it’s the cajones he’s small on. Same song different sopranos ... politics as your career choice requires funding for election cycles. You didn’t expect them to be as honest as their rhetoric pretends didya?
