The United States Government Selective Service Agency seems to be taking a step to legitimize illegal aliens. From the Selective Service website:
ATTENTION, UNDOCUMENTED MALES & IMMIGRANT SERVICING GROUPS!
Selective Service does not collect any information which would indicate whether or not you are undocumented. You want to protect yourself for future U.S. citizenship and other government benefits and programs by registering with Selective Service. Do it today.
If you are a man ages 18 through 25 and living in the U.S., then you must register with Selective Service. Its the law. According to law, a man must register with Selective Service within 30 days of his 18th birthday. Selective Service will accept late registrations but not after a man has reached age 26. You may be denied benefits or a job if you have not registered. You can register at any U.S. Post Office and do not need a social security number. When you do obtain a social security number, let Selective Service know. Provide a copy of your new social security number card; being sure to include your complete name, date of birth, Selective Service registration number, and current mailing address; and mail to the Selective Service System, P.O. Box 94636, Palatine, IL 60094-4636.

This is nothing we didn’t know.. If illegals serve in the armed forces they are eligible to become citizens.
Illegals can not serve in the armed forces. Resident aliens can (legal aliens) and that is a pathway to citizenship.
Geez, the stupidity of U.S. bureaucrats.
“So if you are currently a criminal don’t let that stop you from being eligible for future benefits.”
What future benefits? Getting drafted?
Oh, yeah. The law....
Ping!
Seems to me the Romans tried something similar in the 4th century A.D. I don’t think it worked out too well for them.
WHICH HOUSE COMMITTEE OVERSEES THIS BRANCH?
My mistake.. You are correct then.. It’s outrageous!
Do tourists have to register? Do people here on student visas have to register? H1-Bs? I would be surprised if they did.
Why would someone here who has never declared their intentions and purpose for being here have to or be allowed to register?
There are already many legal ways of doing it. For example, in Springfield, VA just outside of DC, Iris Yaneth Villalobos Aguilar, a fast food worker, bought a home for $950,000. The six-bedroom home housed 26 borders, 11 of them illegal aliens and parties there included members of MS-13.
Aguilar, a native Honduran was legally in this country with a visa reserved for immigrants who cannot "return to their home country because it would be dangerous to do so." (Washington Examiner, Jan. 25, 2011) What a racket to get undesirables into this country. These visas should be limited to only rare cases.
