The good news is that Senator Lautenberg's disgusting reign will draw to a close before long.
There is no way a guy of his age can maintain the workload of a man or woman forty, fifty, or possibly sixty years younger than him.
The likelihood of the voting public re-electing a fossil nearly ninety years of age is increasingly unlikely.

They won’t need to go door to door with searches. They’ll data mine some likely candidates that they know have purchased plenty of high cap mags, do more careful research, and execute raids. A few high-profile arrests will send the message.

I think the Gabby Giffords magazine law will be their first test, and it will pass easily.

Your example is precisely what makes it so easy to run roughshod over decent and law-abiding people. Because they're NOT criminals with criminal mentality.
A nice gunowner with a family, job, friends, and responsibilities would see high-profile raids on television with flashbangs, handcuffs, police, and he/she would be inclined to surrender magazines greater than 10 rounds.
It will be interesting to see where this goes.

I think they’ll make it “palatable” for squishy RINOs to pass the law by grandfathering in mags already owned. After some date, new mags will have “Law Enforcement Use Only!” stamped all over them. It won’t matter much to people with plenty of mags. What it will do is lead to more pistols being sold in .45 caliber, built around a ten round mag.
