A Charles Manson follower has been ordered to remain in prison after parole board officials rejected her claim she was a changed woman.

The two-member panel said the viciousness and notoriety of Patricia Krenwinkel's crimes outweighed her efforts at rehabilitation behind bars.

Krenwinkel, now 63, wept and apologised during the hearing, but officials said the deaths of seven people in the 1969 Tate-LaBianca murders 'remained relevant'.

From Wikipedia:
Krenwinkel dragged coffee heiress Abigail Folger from her bedroom to the living room, fought with her, and stabbed her. When Folger tried to escape following the first round of stabbing, Krenwinkel was said to have chased Folger as she ran outside screaming. According to Krenwinkel, she pinned Folger to the ground and further stabbed her; the victim pleaded with her to stop by saying, "I'm already dead". Krenwinkel continued to stab her so brutally that Folger's white nightgown is reported to have appeared red to police investigators the following day. While stabbing Folger, Krenwinke; called to Watson, who also stabbed Folger. During her trial, Krenwinkel was quoted as saying, "I stabbed her and I kept stabbing her." When asked how it felt, Krenwinkel replied: "Nothing, I mean, what is there to describe? It was just there, and it was right."

Abigail Folger (August 11, 1943 – August 9, 1969)

honestly, if the conditions are right and she hooks up wiht the right ‘leader.’ Depends on the trigger and society should not walk on tiptoes worrying about triggering her killer instinct.

“OMG..You REALLY think this woman is going to kill again if she’s let out? really?”

This isn’t some average “granny,” honey. She lost her right to the presumption of innocence, long ago. Now, she gets the appropriate presumption of guilt.

Do you have some reason to assume she wouldn’t drop the hammer on some innocent soul should she be set free? Or are you just sympathetic to elderly cold-blooded murderers?

I don’t necessarily believe that she would not harm anyone if released. However, I believe she deserves jail for life since the death penalty was assessed.

It's called punishment that fits the crime...

Prison life wiped that smirk off her face didn’t it?

150 amps of DC running through her body would have wiped it off too, a lot sooner and cheaper.

“You REALLY think this woman is going to kill again if she’s let out?”

Very doubtful that she would, but that’s not the point. Prison is not about rehabilitation but punishment (even though most libs seem to think we are trying to rehabilitate them, prison is the last place that would happen, if anything they come out worse than they went in). What she and the other Manson freaks did deserved death or at the least that they never get let out of jail. Also, given that “elites” were killed rather than ordinary people they had to make an example of them so I don’t expect any of them to be let out.

“For the life of me, I will never know what turned such a successful guy into a murderer.”

Aside from the obvious derangement, on that particular night it was largely amphetamines, and I suspect, to insure continued access to Manson’s harem.

My first thought when I saw her picture is that prison has given her a certain “butch” quality.

The cruelty of the murders DO “remain relevant.” Yes, they do. I’m sure the mother and “to be grandmother” of the pregnant victim and the unborn baby” consider those murders to still be relevant as well and always will be. Tell krenwrinkle to apologize to God for what she did and not to the public. She killed in a vicious and ugly manner and was part of that whole demonic event. No, she is only different today because she is TIRED of sitting in a jail. At least she can see family members and talk to them. The victims of this crazed outfit can not do that nor can their families. She is where she belongs plain and simple. God forgive her as only HE can.

In the Golden State, it would have been, not The Chair, but the bright green gas chamber at San Quentin. In a sane world, the pellets would have dropped no later than August, 1970.

The entire Manson Clan should have been executed years ago. They are all crazy as can be. Bernadette Dorn—NObama’s Chicago pal thinks the Mansons were wonderful.

Yeah. I wonder if the smirk might have faded when she heard the fans turn off, and then that cheerful fizzing sound. The invited guests could have enjoyed the sight of that disappearing smirk. I don't think they got too many observers for electrocutions anyway.

Better yet, I would have been better if Manson just stayed in Ohio, where he was born and raised.
