My 18 year-old grandson called recently to tell me that one of his friends, a senior in a well-respected private school, is taking a mandatory course called “Life Skills” or something similar.

One of the subjects the kids are really looking forward to is something called “Personal Protection.” It includes a trip to the LOCAL GUN RANGE where each will be required to become familiar with and fire a – SHUDDER – HANDGUN!!!
