White House to Push Gun Control

Obama intentionally did not mention gun control in his State of the Union, but aides say that in the next two weeks the administration will unveil a campaign to get Congress to toughen existing laws.

At the beginning of his State of the Union address, President Obama tipped his hat to Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, who’s now recuperating in a Houston medical facility. But throughout the hourlong speech, he never addressed the issue at the core of the Giffords tragedy—gun control—and what lawmakers would, or should, do to reform American firearm-access laws.

That was intentional, according to the White House. An administration official says Obama didn’t mention guns in his speech because of the omnipresent controversy surrounding the Second Amendment and gun control. Tuesday’s speech was designed to be more about the economy and how, as Obama repeated nine times, the U.S. could “win the future.”

According to DOJ crime statistics, guns are used 2.5-million times per year to prevent robberies, rapes, murders, carjackings, home-invasions, etc., 99% of the time without a shot being fired.

“It is unfair to let whites keep guns since it gives them an unfair advantage. In order to attain a level playing field and social justice, I want to see guns outlawed by private citizens. Even though I know that criminals and gangs will never relinquish their firearms, we must move to take away the white communities ability to resist our wonderful government takeover.”

“he never addressed the issue at the core of the Giffords tragedy—gun control”

Incorrect...the issue at the core of the Giffords tragedy is the utter faliure of sheriff Dumbass to act on loughners previous death threats.

Libtards use failure to enforce current law...as a springboard for new laws.

The narrative is that weak guns laws are responsible...

The reality is the Sheriff is responsible.

His failure is the direct cause for the effect.

Had the sheriff done his job..loughner would have been locked up.

This is an offshoot of their view of government as god.

In rejecting objective truth and morality in favor of individually defined subjective truth and morality,

what defines truth and morality is not God,
but who has the power of the state to enforce their “truth” on others.

Government, in this subjective philosophy/ideology, defines truth and morality and is therefore “god”.

In order to force their “truth” on others takes force,
and the ability of others to resist this imposition is not acceptable.

"What is it about” congress shall make no law” that they do not understand?"

. . . 'no law that is repugnant to the U.S. Constitution/Bill of Rights.'

So it's really simple. If a proposed law diminishes the law of the land it is shitcanned and not to be obeyed if enacted.

Someone explain that to the supremos before they start jailing people for failing to obey illegal laws. Oops! Too late.

Posted on another site:

Whenever someone uses the phrase “Gun Control” think about the meanings of the words Eleútheros and Seax.

Eleútheros is defined and one who is not a slave, a freeman. It is the English phonetic representation of Ελεύθερος, Greek for "Free."

A Seax was a single edged knife from Old Saxon culture, carrying one meant you were a freeman and not a slave.

In essence, being armed meant you were Eleútheros or free.

The left would like to take the modern equivalent of a Seax away from you, so that you are no longer Eleútheros but a slave.

Eleútheros happens to be the origin of the word līber, the root word for Liberal and Liberty.

So, disarming people – taking away their means of self defense – meant they were enslaved and the people who advocate this are anti – līber, anti- Liberty.

In the past, weapons have signified whether one is a freeman [Ελεύθερος, ‘free’] taking them away signifies that that they are now a slave – in this case, as slave to a socialist government. It also means that one who wishes to take these weapons away, and thus take away their Ελεύθερος or līber are in fact working counter to the idea of liberty.

So-called “Liberals” want to take away one of the very things that make a people free.

Just something to think about when Leftists claim to be “Liberal”

They - those behind 0bama- are pushing for a reaction, which they believe will sanction the crackdown for which they’re fairly slobbering in anticipation.

But they’ve made some serious miscalculations based upon their fatal blindness. They truly do not understand, nor are they capable of understing what motivates real Aemricans. Thus, they have a very nasty surprise coming.

The key thing to remember here is that Obama isn't congress. It's been suggested that the President can just issue an executive order to address/define "arms" in any fashion his heart desires. That's friggin scary! Of course, anything he does decide to do will be just "common sense" measures.

Let me get this straight - we have all of these horrible crimes in spite of all the gun laws currently on the books at local, state and national levels. Right?

So the only possible solution to this “problem” is to write more laws at the local, sate and national level. Right?

So the liberal/progressive/socialist/dimocrat/Rino/lawyer mind set is if one hundred laws don't work we will write 1,0000; 10,000; 100,000 new laws in hopes that one of them might work.

What's the definition of insanity again?

The opening barrage began this AM. National report on CBS about 21000 guns missing from gun dealers. Of course the number is BS. In the report the reporter cited the Brady Institute about a US lack of gun control. Next up, the head of ATF enforcement said he did not have enough staff to audit gun dealers more than once every ten years (complete BS). At that point I had yelled so many expletives at the TV, my wife turned it off citing I was about to have a seizure.

Come and get em boys, ammo first.
