Comments from a liberal talk-radio show host in Madison continues to stir controversy. Now, the high ranking state official he directed his comments toward is responding to his comments.
Madison talk show host John Sylvester mocked Wisconsin's Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch. Slyvester says he was being critical of Kleefisch's strategy to attract businesses to Wisconsin.
Kleefisch responded to Sylvester comments saying, "I was calling to solicit business on behalf of the great state of Wisconsin."
While impersonating her he said, "Then I got colon cancer, and I ran around the state tellin' people even though I have government health care screw everyone else."
The American Cancer Society issued a statement regarding Sylvester's statements about Kleefisch's battle with cancer calling the comments "Inappropriate and offensive to all those who have been touched by cancer".
Sylvester also made two sexually explicit comments about how Kleefisch got endorsed by conservative talk radio hosts during her campaign.
I lived in Madison for 20 years, but not lately, and I have to say that in watching the GOP sweep in the 2010 elections I have been savoring the head-on collision of the incoming majority and the small island of insanity that is Madison. It will be unpleasant for Walker and Kleefisch when they are in Madison, but it won’t be that bad - and the conflict is going to cause the heads of folks like Sylvester to simply explode. Which will be great fun to watch.
What ever you do, NEVER judge the people in the great state of Wisconsin by those in Madison.
