Forgive me since I've been sick all week and haven't kept up very closely with all the turmoil in the ME.
But my question is why didn't the smartest woman in the world see this one coming and take action to prevent it? That was her campaign rhetoric - she has her finger on the pulse of the world, blah blah blah blah.
She really ought to lose her job over this mess. JMHO

Remember it was in Egypt that Obama made his major speech to the Muslim world.
If these protests turn anti-western and anti-American, watch out.

I’m watching all these talking heads saying that there is no opposition leader or heir apparent to Mubarak. OK. Did any of these rocket scientists even know who Hosni Mubarak was prior to Sadat’s assassination? Did any of their predecessors know Sadat before Nasser died suddenly?
This is what happens when autocratic regimes flip. Some grey, non-entity assumes power and gradually becomes ‘known’.
It’s just “Smart Diplomacy” working its magic.
I don’t think Hillary was asleep...I think she and presdident 0bama have been orchestrating this rebellion in Egypt. They think they will do a better job at creating democracy in the ME than Bush did.

Is it just old Dave being slow, or do others see the use of a “woman” questionable as an effective diplomat with a Muslim nation? It is a fact that women in that culture are never respected, how can we expect an agreement with the “leaders” of Muslim nations?
Of course it probably does not matter, because the Muslim practice Al-Taqiyya. (OK to lie to infidels)
She probably will when it's expedient for this administration and they can trash her enough so that she cannot be a threat to Obama in the Dem primaries. She'll eventually be thrown under the bus.

I saw her speech yesterday. She’s ‘deeply concerned’! What more can you ask?
Personally, I’ve never seen a public woman have such trouble with her menopause as the smartest woman in the world. The weight gain, the obvious depression and lack of interest in the job, the dirty hair, the long hair...all smacks of a really bad change. I don’t think she has any interest in a job she has absolutely no qualifications for. Her “speech” this evening was robotic, boring and not up to the task.
Being a woman myself, I would love it if a female SecState would be respected in the muslim world. But the reality is, she is tolerated not respected. I don’t think even Condi Rice was respected.
I know. Why the left thinks this a good thing is a mystery to me.
Even people here are conditioned by TV’s 24x7 pro-Obama brainwashing on all channels. This is all Obama’s fault.
The entire US govt, military, intel, etc is filled with Muslim Brotherhood moles.
