All Senate Republicans appear ready to repeal health care law By: CNN Political Producer Shannon Travis

Washington (CNN) - Every Republican in the Senate now appears ready to revoke President Obama's signature health care law. This comes as a federal judge, in Florida, strikes down key parts of the law as unconstitutional.

The GOP holds 47 seats in the Senate.

According to Sen. Jim DeMint's office, 45 of them will co-sponsor the South Carolina Republican's legislation – introduced last week - to fully repeal the health law. Republicans are "standing with the American people who are demanding we repeal this government takeover of health care," DeMint said at the time.

DeMint's office told CNN it did not yet have confirmation that Mississippi Sen. Thad Cochran would sign on. But CNN contacted Cochran's office and confirmed that he would.

The judge voided the bill. Unless the SC overturns the ruling, the bill is void.

No, the bill is still in effect pending the Obama Administration's appeal.

So what. The article makes clear that Snowe’s vote in committee was not determinative. Furthermore, the Finance Committee bill beared little resemblance to the monstrosity that eventually passed - which again Senator Snowe voted NO when it mattered.

It is very difficult keeping any caucus intact, particularly in the Senate and when in the minority - exactly as the framers intended. I encourage you to understand this basic dynamic.

As I stated twice above, there are plenty of issues to disagree with Senator Snowe. This is not one of those issues. I would much rather have 60 GOP senators who will enact conservative policies 70 percent of the time rather than 38 or 40 conservative purists who can accomplish nothing and, worse, who could not prevent the horrible socialization of this nation.

You dance with those who brung ya in this business. Coalitions form and dissipate every day on any number of issues. The GOP line in the sand on this issue - across the caucus - is historic.

Rather than criticize Senator Snowe, more good would occur if you would commend her position on this issue alone. Do you think a Democratic senator in her place would support repeal?

“How about DEMAND PROOF OF BIRTH IN THE UNITED STATES.

If none is given, PASS LAW SAYING THAT ALL SIGNED BILLS ARE NULL AND VOID”

I agree with you. It would be nice to see everything the left THINKS they had go down in flames.

This should be hung around the neck of every demonrat up for re-election in 2012.

Exactly. The perfect label for the 0bamaCare-supporting dems: "Supports Unconstitutional and Illegal 0bamaCare Law."

These GOP haters are like the liberal mainstream media in their hate for Republicans.

If ALL Republicans Senators vote to repeal socialist healthcare as they all voted against the first bill , then that is still not good enough.

And then they make up lies like what you debunked. Any action of any idiot that call himself a Republican is used to indict the whole GOP, and all Republicans. And if they can't find a single bad action from any Republican then they'll make one up . This is exactly what the liberal mainstream media does.

Concur. But I am content to win one battle at a time, secure one conversion a day. Not worth my blood pressure otherwise!

Bottom line is YOU CAN'T TRUST SNOWE.

PERIOD! She's a friggin turncoat, RAT/MARXIST/LIBERAL.

Even IF she votes with the GOP on healthcare repeal, that doesn't mean she won't turn against them on another bill.

YOU CANNOT TRUST HER!

The number of waivers is now over 730 - I don't know who has authority to grant waivers, but the Senate should grant one to every legal citizen.

Want to move some Democraps into the repeal column? Easy. Abolish ALL waivers. None can be granted, those granted are repealed. Then watch the fun. This unconstitutional piece of fascist crap will be gone in short order.

The judge noted that declaratory relief is the functional equivalent of an injunction, and applied the long-standing presumption 'that officials of the Executive Branch will adhere to the law as declared by the court.' So in the case, the judge asserted that the declaratory relief should bind the parties. If the Obama administration wishes to impose the requirements of Obamacare upon the states, it will need to seek a stay of the opinion either from the judge, or from the 11th Circuit. .

The Republicans should pounce on the Unconstitutionality in the Senate by the 2 Fed Judges who have been brought by 26 States in total.

Press for the vote now. Need 12 Dems and probably Joe Lieberman to beat cloture.

They cannot defly a Federal Judge’s ruling. If they do they will be in contempt of the Judge’s ruling.

Yeah, just like we saw them comply with the injunction on the moratorium on Gulf oil drilling...

Doesn't matter at all.

What is needed are at least four....better five....dem/lib/prog/pop senators standing tall and ready to vote for repeal. Without that, there will be no repeal of the now law. None.

Bottom line is YOU CAN'T TRUST SNOWE.

No one is suggesting that Snowe has a good record.

Relative to the repeal of this legislative monstrosity, the question is NOT whether Snowe can be trusted, it is whether YOU and others want us to have 47 votes for repeal with Snowe, or 46 votes for repeal without Snowe.

Do you want repeal of this horrible bill or not? Party labels matter. Do you want to make McConnell's task to obtain 51 votes easier or more difficult?

Do you want a GOP Senator such as Snowe who votes with her caucus 50-60% of the time, or would you prefer a Democratic senator instead of Snowe who votes with the GOP zero percent of the time.

That is the reality, that is the choice. That is the bottom line.
