All Senate Republicans appear ready to repeal health care law By: CNN Political Producer Shannon Travis

Washington (CNN) - Every Republican in the Senate now appears ready to revoke President Obama's signature health care law. This comes as a federal judge, in Florida, strikes down key parts of the law as unconstitutional.

The GOP holds 47 seats in the Senate.

According to Sen. Jim DeMint's office, 45 of them will co-sponsor the South Carolina Republican's legislation – introduced last week - to fully repeal the health law. Republicans are "standing with the American people who are demanding we repeal this government takeover of health care," DeMint said at the time.

DeMint's office told CNN it did not yet have confirmation that Mississippi Sen. Thad Cochran would sign on. But CNN contacted Cochran's office and confirmed that he would.

Reid will do everything he can do to keep the dems from having to take a stand on this.

Put a hold on every bill and every appointment until this unconstitutional piece of garbage is repealed.

Bobbsey Twins of Maine & the Boston Bimbo too?

If the GOP is all on board there has to be enough democrats ready to dump comprehensive health care, as well.

I'm surprised to see that Murkowski is going along with this.

Good for the GOP.

The number of waivers is now over 730 - I don't know who has authority to grant waivers, but the Senate should grant one to every legal citizen.

Is it correct that there aren’t enough Republican votes to repeal it, and, even if there were, Obumble could veto it?

If McConnell does manage to keep all 47 Republicans together and get this to a vote, it will pass.

Manchin, McCaskill, Stabenow and Webb almost certainly will have to vote for repeal if they want even a shot at another term. Especially Manchin. And once it becomes clear that it will pass, look for even more democrats to try to curry favor with their constituents and pile on.

I agree... right now Reid’s worst nightmare is for this to go to a Senate vote where the Dems have to cast their vote on the record.

The Secretary of HHS, I’d bet. That title is mentioned hundreds of times in the legislation.

Vote to repeal?

The judge voided the bill. Unless the SC overturns the ruling, the bill is void.

Voting on a voided bill seems like an effort in futility.

The decision basically nullifies Obama’s first year presidency, since the bill is what he spent most of his efforts on.

"I'm surprised to see that Murkowski is going along with this."

They were only referring to GOP Senators.

How about DEMAND PROOF OF BIRTH IN THE UNITED STATES.

If none is given, PASS LAW SAYING THAT ALL SIGNED BILLS ARE NULL AND VOID.

The court battle ain't over yet, nor will it be for some time.

Besides, there's enormous political value in forcing the vote.
