A Grad rocket which was fired on Monday evening from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory exploded in the southern Israel town of Netivot.

The rocket hit a parked car. There were no reports of casualties but four people were treated for shock, the Negev District Police said. Residents in the area reported that the “red alert” alarm that is usually heard before a rocket explosion did not work this time.

Several minutes after the rocket attack on Netivot, a second Grad rocket fired from the Gaza Strip exploded in the city of Ofakim. There were no reports of injuries or damage as a result of the attack.

Taunting Israel in these times is evil but smart, from the jihadi perspective. I hope the Isreali army remembers the town it launched from for when things clam down—if they ever do.

Why don’t the Israelis send a rocket into Gaza for eavery rocket they launch into Israel? An eye for an eye, a rocket for a rocket...tell me where I’m wrong here...please...

They should but they won’t (at least not yet). They are a compassionate people and wish not to kill civilians ... besides, if they did, the world would condemn them even more.

Israel prefers to use the time and place of its own choosing to respond. The Arabs know it is coming. They just don't know where or when.

In this war and the way the Muslims fight it, there are no civilians and no innocents - the sooner we all realize that the better off we will all be.

Unfortunately I think A time is coming when the Israelis will be forced to kill or be killed.

If the Moslem Brother Hoods take over Egypt, it will be a matter of time before they declare the peace treaty null and void, at which point the Nobel committee will recall Carter's prize.

Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it, the Israelis are trying to maintain some form of civility in this whole situation. It is the rest of the world that is pushing them into a corner they might have trouble getting out of.

I think I would do it. They would be twice as many and twice as powerful. Send them where they yearn to be.

All I know is when Israel dealt with their enemies swiftly and strongly, their enemies tucked their tails. Israel’s leaders need to stop apologizing and improve their PR game when defensive strikes are necessary. Most the American people understand the concept of self-defense and would not want to live the way Israelis have to just to get through their day in some of these towns. That our enemies in the UN and EU don’t get it, WHO CARES!

How? When the world press is against Israel and the truth seldom gets out. I understand your points, but Israel has no "out" in this situation. The world press is against Israel and therefore the truth is not something they are interested in. No matter what Israel does, it will be presented as "wrong". The world revolves around what is presented in the press; therefore Israel loses no matter what the truth is. IMHO

And I totally understand your points as well. Have you ever heard of the Bielski Brothers? They are my heroes - they believed that it was more important to save a Jew than to kill a Nazi. However, they killed a lot of Nazis while saving more than a thousand Jews — the largest number of Jews saved by Jews during WW2. If you are doomed either way, you go down fighting in my book. Obama, and Bush 2 before him, have been doing the slow strangle of Israel - so go ahead and be civilized for as long as you can. Once you are in that corner for real, then what? (and no, I am not a Jew - I am die-hard follower of Jesus).

The BM-21 “Grad” is a modified truck launcher that carries 40 120mm M-21 unguided rockets. In WW2, earlier version of this vehicular mounting was called the “Katyusha” or “Stalin's Organ”. The BM-21 with its multiple launch tubes replaced the earlier BM-13 truck launcher with its open rail launcher.

To bad the Israelis don't respond on a round-for-round basis with some M26 rockets from the MLRS (multiple launch rocket system). Each of the M26 rockets contain 644 submunitions that can really ruin your day.
