It seems the state of New Mexico is taking after its neighboring state.
New Mexico governor Susana Martinez said Monday that New Mexico is no longer an illegal immigrant sanctuary state, issuing an order to officially reverse the states status.
Ms. Martinez ordered the reversal of the states sanctuary status, which prohibited law enforcement from asking criminal suspects about their citizenship. The move aligns the state with Arizona, which passed a law mandating officials inquire about an individuals immigration status.
A number of immigrant-rights group protested the move, saying it will allow for discriminatory practices.
The move makes New Mexico the latest state to implement an immigration reform system similar to the one put in place in Arizona. A number of states, including California, are considering similar laws in the wake of increased calls for immigration reform.
I wrote up a little review which includes news on developing fronts in South Dakota, Kansas, Missouri, South Carolina, Kentucky, and Indiana:

Must be a Typical White Person masquerading as a La-TEEN-a with that name. No “REAL” Mexican would be in favor of enforcing the law.
Ping!
Albuquerque instituted a similar law about a year ago. They stationed ICE personnel in the booking area of the metro jail and questioned EVERYONE arrested about immigration status.
The “profiling” whiners got no traction because everyone was questioned, and it was by the Feds not the locals.
The policy has been a great success, netting 30 illegals (arrested for a variety of offenses) in the first week.
“Wise Latina!”
“Itd be great if all 3 branches of government, congress, senate and the president, would support this!”
You guys help me wake up in the morning. Thanks for the smile.
I assume that means that they would get no (voting) U.S. Reps, no Senators, and no Electoral College votes for the duration. However, they would still required to pay taxes (unlike some territories) if for no other reason than to pay back the bailout.
Wise Latina Republican is redundant. ;)
Yeah, but if we get rid of all the mexicans and chinese, we won’t be able to get $10.00 manicures any more. Waah.

Sweet!
Has fat-boy Richardson found a job with the admin. yet?
Ugh. Please, let’s not use the word nipple and that... individual in proximity. Nipple is such a nice word, I’d hate to get it ruined.

Very nice, thanks for the link!
Martinez says in a press release:
“This order takes the handcuffs off of New Mexico’s law enforcement officers in their mission to keep our communities safe. The criminal justice system should have the authority to determine the immigration status of all criminals, regardless of race or ethnicity, and report illegal immigrants who commit crimes to federal authorities.”

LOL! I don’t know, he’s likely driving one of Clinton’s girlfriends around trying to find her a job like he used to! lol
BTW, this today:
Richardson records sealed for 8 years (NM - What’s he got to hide?? /s)

GOVERNOR SUSANA MARTINEZ RESCINDS NEW MEXICO SANCTUARY STATUS
I hate to bust your racist bubble. But this LATINA has what it takes. From another thread about her:
At age 17 she was an armed security guard and carries heat (or did so until she became governor). One story has her being interviewed by NBC when running for governor last year. When the technician was getting her wired for a microphone she had to caution him that she had a weapon under her belt. And it runs in the family - her great-grandfather Ortega was a general in Pancho Villa's army.
And if you say her husband is the Hispanic, i.e., Martinez is his surname and not her maiden name you are wrong again. Martinez is her surname her husband's name is Chuck Franco.
CA did do “something” back in the ‘90s, Prop 187.
A federal judge threw us under the bus.
