“Detroit was probably the wealthiest city in the world, or one of the two or three wealthiest) up to about the early 1960’s.”

- Around 1950, most inhabitants of LA lived in a house sooner than dwelling in a tenant area like those found in Detroit or Chicago.

Everyone living in Michael Moore Land at that time wasn’t a well paid unionist.

“The author obviously doesn’t have a great grasp of the world outside of Sweden”

- You forgot upon the quod erat demonstrandum part of it all.

(The “quod erat demonstrandum” is a Latin phrase invented outside of Sweden, in this particular case meaning you probably don’t know what you’re on about.)

Kennedy, speaking of the effects of the act, said: “First, our cities will not be flooded with a million immigrants annually. Under the proposed bill, the present level of immigration remains substantially the same.... Secondly, the ethnic mix of this country will not be upset.... Contrary to the charges in some quarters, [the bill] will not inundate America with immigrants from any one country or area, or the most populated and deprived nations of Africa and Asia.... In the final analysis, the ethnic pattern of immigration under the proposed measure is not expected to change as sharply as the critics seem to think.... It will not cause American workers to lose their jobs.”

“Where is the justice in having 19,000 spots allocated for East Asians, but only 2000 for the closest relatives of the founders of this country, and that only in combination with those from Central Asia?”

Obama is DILUTING our culture with trash and Islam. Obama has REDEFINED what a “refugee” is to suit HIS agenda.

“Didn’t Johnson sell the immigration reform of 1965 with ‘this won’t transform the demographics of this country’? That was back when the demographics were about 89% European origin, mostly British Isles and Northern Europe and 11% African origin.”

Since when does Obama respect our rule of law or any law for that matter?

What Johnson did is ancient history.

Obama is heading up the freak show now and NO SAYS CRAP about it for fear of being a RACIST, BIGOT or a HATE MONGER - that is IF they are aware of this.

Thanks for elaborating on it.

We can, and should, deport every single illegal alien, and any dependent children they have responsibility for, regardless of citizenship, but any real immigration reform must address this fraud perpetrated on Americans in 1965.

And Sweden should do something similar, in the unsolicited opinion of this non-citizen of Sweden. Sweden didn't even have the colonies used to justify importing foreigners into other European countries over the objections of the Native Europeans - not unless we remember Delaware and environs, and Saint-Barthelemy, which wasn't very populous then, and isn't now; Finland; or maybe Russia from long, long ago.

1965 is a while ago now, yes, but it’s still in living memory, and it’s what opened the floodgates to the point where the basketball-player-in-chief could demonstrate his outrageous sense of humor in allocating only 2000 places for all of Europe...and Central Asia. It’s how we got to the point we are now, so it needs to be understood, discussed, and reversed after exposure for the fraud it was.

Being the wealthiest city obviously doesn’t mean that everyone was a member of the UAW. The auto manufacturing boom after WWII spread vast amounts of money far and wide in Detroit. By the way, your odd insertion of a latin phrase is a non sequitur ;-)

How’s marriage, though.

Last I read not that many Swedes are getting married any more, just shacking up.

And homo-rights are pretty entrenched. Not a good sign for civilization.
