Update : battles have started.
There is a tense stand-off in the Egyptian capital's main square, after fights broke out between supporters and opponents of beleaguered President Hosni Mubarak.
Thousands of the president's supporters had surged into Cairo's Tahrir Square, dismantling barricades set up by anti-Mubarak groups.

The Mubarak supporters are provoking the protestors, its chaos, reports of knifes drawn and many injured.
Don’t worry, nobel prize winners and muslim brotherhood supporters, Baraq Hussein and Mo ElBaradi, have everything under control.
Its obvious Mubarak is doing this to enact military control. Its straight from the dictators handbook, this is gonna go to hell in a handbasket fast.
When Israel is blown off the map, will the 85% of the American Jews that voted for him, wake up???? No, because Democrat is their religion.
Yikes!!! I hope all of the Americans have found a way to get out of Egypt...if not they are at risk.
The Muslim Brotherhood MO is time tested and well know.
1) Provoke, then cry victim at the slightest backlash
2) “Stage” an atrocity, and blame your opponent.
The wise Egyptians realize that if they do not stop this attack from the WhiteHouse/CODEPINK/BillAYers/alQaeda/Ikhwan,
then they are doomed.
Al Jazeera report that pro and anti in open warfare now in surrounding streets, no longer confined to square, its spreading.
I’m no fan of dictators, but if it takes the Army to keep the MB from gaining control, so be it.
There comes a point where I believe less in free political activism and more in suppressing a faction that wants to KILL US ALL. Just sayin’.

I seriously doubt it. Mubarak lost and he admitted it yesterday. The protestors see no reason to have to wait until September. They want him out now.

Mubarak has no intention in going in September, you’d be a fool to believe, hence this today, he intends to stay.

I’ve been having a great deal of emotional turmoil lately. One of my long time friends is an Obama supporter. Somehow he is remaining a supporter, despite EVERYTHING that shows Obama is a threat. I’m trying to reconcile that, because frankly I blame all of the libs in this country for contributing to this disaster.
War is here. Today. NOW. Our enemies are amongst us. And I feel like a damned conspiracy theorist and don’t know how to handle this.

Pro-democracy folks have heard protesters are being attacked and are rushing to the square by the thousands to help.
So nobama incites these “demonstrators” so that they won’t accept a relatively smooth few month transition to more acceptable governance? Instead, they want to chop people to bloody pieces and destroy society? Great foreign policy maneuvering, nobama, you terrorist, loving putz. nobama is such a great leader.
