Commodities? I've got 'em. 50 pound sacks of flour, rice, and beans. I also like metals, both noble and base; brass, copper, lead, and silver.

Bought 'em cheap, stacked 'em deep.

I have decided that if there is a run on the banks or some other sign of imminent collapse I will go to the local restaurant supply and buy bags of rice and beans. Then I will have my employees re-bag such commodities in 1/4, 1/2, and 1 pound bags. Presto, the new currency!

Of course, I have other food, but it is packed for 100 year storage. Don’t want to part with that until absolutely required.
