Newt Gingrichs political groups raised more than $4.2 million in the last three months of 2010, bringing the former House speakers total to $14.5 million for the year a sum that far eclipses his potential rivals for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination.
Gingrich, who has increasingly signaled his desire to enter the race to take on President Barack Obama, raised more last year than the three next most prolific fundraisers eying Republican presidential bids combined former Govs. Mitt Romney of Massachusetts (whose political committees brought in $6.3 million in 2010), Sarah Palin of Alaska ($3.5 million) and Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota ($2.6 million).

Gingrich is the quintessential politician, we need new blood.
It’s not money he needs, it’s character. Unfortunately, that’s not something you can get by donations.
Give the money back Newt. It will be a cold day in hell before you get the nomination.
And if Palin officially announces, she will overwhelm Loveseat Newtie and Mittster and all of the others in real grass-roots fundraising. Newt is simply raking it in from his Beltway connections, which is yet another reason why we don’t need or want him as the 2012 nominee.
Intellectually, Newt is amongst my favorites. Just too much baggage...
Let me guess,,, McCain for VP... yes, major RINO ticket!!LOL
There goes the ball game, newt must be looking for a fourth wife.
Please, no more old, used up, career politicians. And no more Rinos, regardless of their age, gender, etc.
Churn that money as people need jobs.....
Newt is a top Historian but when he supported Global warming
that was the end for me.
In 08, I held my nose and voted for McLame. If the chameleon Rhino Gingrich gets the nod, I will have to leave that spot on my ballot blank.
Money which will be wasted.
Exactly right...
This should be obvious to everyone, including Newt Gingrich.
Obamacare will be declared unconstitutional so that will be a moot point and Mitt care in Mass would not have been unconstitutional seeing it was a state law.
I see this team taking Ohio,New Mexico,Florida,Nevada and Colorado as well as possibly Michigan,Massachusetts and New Hampshire along with all the strong republican states.
Why does Elton John come to mind every time I see Newt?
Thanks for the photos. Especially on the couch with Nancy.
This early in the campaign you have to wonder if they are really just running for a cabinet post, and if so, which one?
Personally, I can imagine Gingrich starting out as the Secretary of Education, then once the Education Department is eliminated, move him to his new job as the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, then once HUD is eliminated, move him to Homeland Security, then to the Department of Energy, for a major reorganization, then to the EPA for the same.
He will have done the US some huge favors in that first term. And the mere sight of him to bureaucrats would be like sunlight to vampires.
Just as Christians pause to ask WWJD, Newt needs to ask WW-A True Conservative-D.
