The White House is now openly pushing for replacing Egypt President Hosni Mubarak with a temporary caretaker government that includes the military and is applauding a decision by Mubaraks son to step down as head of the countrys ruling party.
But a senior administration official said those steps werent enough - and suggested that Mubarak needs to take additional steps to quell the chaos in the streets of Cairo, which is threatening to sink Egypts already foundering economy.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, speaking to a conference of allies in Munich, Germany, on Saturday, expressed support for a transition effort led by the countrys vice president, Gen. Omar Suleiman - and said it was vital for Suleiman to reach out to all opposition groups, including the banned Muslim Brotherhood.
There are certain things that have to be done in order to prepare for open elections, Clinton told European leaders.
And in another signal that the administration sees Suleiman as key to resolving the crisis, the White House said Vice President Biden spoke with Suleiman on Saturday about progress in beginning credible, inclusive negotiations for Egypts transition to a democratic government to address the aspirations of the Egyptian people.

Contrast Obama's statements on Iran with his actions the past two week in regards to Egypt.
I can't even begin to say what little I think of this stinking pile of Kenyan excrement.
That wasn’t a tagline in my reply to you, my computer was doing crazy things, don’t know how that happened - just fyi

Ordo ab chao. More staged events brought to you by the NWO.
The Apollo Alliance? Funding by...Soros? And, maybe, others?
Something like that?
And who might the head controller be? Valerie Jarrett?
Obviously, I've been speculating along similar lines...
Micro managing was Jimmy Carter’s fatal flaw to his presidency.
Throw in the possibility of a nuclear exchange re Israel and it's not hard to imagine those dire straights will be dire indeed.
The world has a real 'leaderless' quality to it right now and as the saying goes...nature abhors a vacuum.
Yeah, extremely fishy we’re not hearing about that. If there is no viable successor then Obama has just foisted Somalia 2 upon the world.
Obama has either convinced Farrakhan that he is indeed the Mahdi or, at the very least, he (Obama) confirmed it after Farrakhan reached this conclusion independently.
Now the question arises, is Obama truly the Islamic Mahdi, the "rightly guided one," the "twelfth Imam"...well, either he is or, at the very least, he believes he is. The point here is that Louis Farrakhan and Obama (and others apparently) believe he is...and his actions in accordance with that belief mean that he is going to try to use his influence as President to ignite a revolution in the ME whose goal is the establishment of a Caliphate (with him being the Caliph).
This is the subscript--the narrative--of his involvement in Egypt and the ME. We have at the helm of our great country a man who believes himself to be (and has convinced others who know him well) that he is a personage of Biblical proportions...the Islamic Mahdi (the Christian Anti-Christ). In that role, he has us all--our nation and the world--careening toward Armageddon!
God help us!
Has no one asked if the monies have been cut off?
I thought not.
White Hut: Muslim terrorists cannot take control of Egypt soon enough.
Perhaps the Iman/Pharoah Obama also wants
some Jews beheaded and some Christian girls also gangraped.
Would that be enough for the bloodthirsty, backstabber Obama?
Given his Africa history, probably not.
Great Britain ... Under the bus!
Israel .............. Under the bus!
Eqypt ............. Under the bus!
So let it be written...
Another sunrise. Another day of treason.
You are correct.
