They looked like 70’s refugees from a Parliament show.

As much as I hate The Boss’ politics, he’s got one of the best live performances out there.

“They looked like 70s refugees from a Parliament show.”
no kidding. I heard KISS called - they want their outfits back.
To: Zakeet
Well, at least they didn’t change the lyrics to the National Anthem.

I admit our TV is more than 15 years old, but the sound was excruciating! The only thing I could hear was the abysmal vocals. The plus side of that is since I couldn't hear the accompaniment, at least I was spared hearing them screech in the wrong key.
To: Zakeet
They just can’t help it, bless their lil’ pea pickin’ hearts.
FWIW: My 2 teens said in unison, about 5 minutes into the show, “Wow! They really SUCK live!”
LOL

The term “space-crickets” comes to mind...

We were waiting for them to slip in something about Obama Worship and they did.

Of course, the Commodores dedicating “Brick House” to Moochelle would have been sweet!

It was so bad, we turned the volume down so we wouldn't have to listen to it. I was actually embarrassed for the people on stage. At one point I said “It's incredible what garbage passes for talent these days”, and everyone agreed.

Incredibly, as I watched them perform I kept saying to myself “this is like Idiocracy [the movie]”. How true.

Never begin to believe that what passes for entertainment in this world cannot get any worse. I laugh out loud when I think “people actually pay money for this”?

If Ronald Reagan had seen this year's Super Bowl halftime show, he would say, "Jerry Jones, tear down this stage!" Best line so far. Stealing it.

Last night was my best Super Bowl ever! I watched a movie until about 8 while recording the SB.
Then I watched and fast forwarded through the BS of Sideline interviews, network promos, Christeen Aguileria's debacle (Hey, if she can eff up the National Anthem, I'll eff up her name - I had no idea she even screwed up until I heard the news this AM) and the halftime stupidity on parade show.
Black Guy Pees performance lasted about 15 seconds for me.
I did watch the commercials because they are usually very good for the SB. Oft times they are better than the game itself.
Every SB party I have ever been to the room is full of conversation during the game and then everybody says SHHHH! when the commercials come on.
And do I ever regret watching the Doritos commercial! BLEECH!

Personally, I thought the half-time performance was horrible. They couldn’t sing very well at all and I thought the “Tron” looking outfits were stupid. The commercials were lack luster as well. I remember Super Bowls of the past where you laughed and laughed at the commercials and couldn’t pick your favorite. This year’s commercials started the debate, “Which commercial was the worst?” We are going with the Dorito commercial IMHO.
