Mitchell is right. It's become customary for Republicans to "claim the Mantle of Reagan". They invoke him like a magic word.
"I am Ronald Reagan!"

I will never understand certain things. Reagan was a Republican. How can there be criticism of a political party celebrating one of their own? Because she's a Democrat and Democrats demand equal outcomes. Obama tried to "appropriate" Reagan's legacy and failed, so in her twisted logic Republicans shouldn't be able to either. What's scary is that she really believes that.

So in Andrea’s warped, bitter little mind, it’s inappropriate for Republicans to voice proud approval of one of their own historical greats, but it’s quite appropriate for Obama (who along with every other leftist despised Reagan) to appropriate him. Crazy c___.

Reagan was a Republican - isn’t it ok for current Republicans to aspire to be Reaganesque?

So Reagan's legacy belongs to the Democrats.

Obama and the dems have been trying to cast Obama as “reaganesque”, lately, Andrea.
THEY have been trying to HIJACK Reagan away from the republicans. HE WAS REPUBLICAN.
Besides you assholes hated Reagan. Made fun of him every chance you got. Tip Oneill and Kennedy and the rest hated the guy.
Hypocrites. Another worker in the Ministry of Truth changing the story and claiming there’s no change.

Did anyone look at the video? Was that Peggy Noonan on the panel?

Liberals say the same thing when Republicans quote JFK on taxes or MLK on anything.
If liberals wish to "appropriate" Reagan, it is to not mention him at all.

OMG. We’re now “apropriating” Reagan? Isn’t this a little like telling Catholics to stop “appropriating” the pope?

Nope. Reagan stood for things and said things. We don’t need to pretend.
