"Dozens of American cities throughout the industrial Great Lakes states and Midwest have lost half of their populations over the course of one generation -- places like Cleveland, Youngstown, Detroit, Warren, Buffalo and Flint. This is the first time that so many cities have lost half of their populations in such a short amount of time since the Plague struck Europe in 1348........."

“And they spread their diseased voting habits to cities like mine...Richmond, VA.”

That’s the problem. My brother is an old school, hardcore Democrat. He thinks that the reason for the implosion of those cities is Republicans screwing people. My brother got wound up on SB Sunday and was mouthing off saying: “Name one good thing Republicans have done and I’ll shut up.” My son in law, who’s in the Army said: “They give me raises.” So, my idiot brother says: “That doesn’t count”.

Naturally, that’s how Democrats do things, they create their own reality, and if you confuse them with facts they deny what you have to say.

So, Democrats think that Republicans are responsible for the ruin of these cities, and will move and ruin other cities.

“...since the Plague struck Europe in 1348”

That was due to global warming.

That’s the best part - the population is drastically reduced but the number of voters stays the same

This is fine, however, knowing liberals (and unions) they are going to eventually try to infiltrate the cities where the populations moved to,and eventually there will be no where left to migrate to...

At that point, people who want no part of socialism/communism/obamism will have to TAKE A STAND AND FIGHT.

And the worst part is that this happens in patches all over the city, so that you can’t simply raze the affected areas and start farming there. City services are still spread over a large geographic areas which keeps costs much higher than needed. What a waste.

“Very interesting read, they talk about the Great Lakes region but it could apply to Pittsburgh, too (my area). “

I’d consider Pittsburgh part of that region. 175 miles from Cleveland, similar population base.

“They move to towns and cities not yet bankrupt and start demanding all the handouts and freebies they had “back home”.”

Yep, I was at my small town Post Office listening to a New Yorker transplant complaining about the lack of services we had around here like. Sooo much better in New York. I told her well, you can always move back to places like that. She said, “Do you know how expensive it is to live there?”

Not to offend anyone, but I wish all these places would revive and thrive, so their inhabitants would quit moving this way. It is bad enough trying to make room for the exodus of Californians and illegals.

More specifically a venereal disease spread by prostitutes and poverty pimps.

You and I know I am joking with my statement.

But here is the argument which I read several years back which makes sense to me:

How could all those bugs invade those countries simultaneously so quickly and instantaneously?

My comment on global warming is a joke of course. But there is more to this infestation we don’t understand. How did it spread so quickly at jet speed at an alarming rate?

Just north of Detroit, 3rd largest city in Michigan, where I live.

BTW our mayor shouldn’t be shown with the others, he’s keeping city services going w/o layoffs of police and fire, also no tax increases.

When the gangsta’s, welfare queens, crack dealers, criminals, etc. overpopulate cities, they become just another Detroit.....with a population that lives for “OBAMA MONEY”, and have no sense of responsibility, decency, morality, or self-respect.....if they DID, then they leave for suburbia. Likewise, they immediately surrender their votes to corruption and the Democrats, and wonder why the cities now resemble Beirut in their landscape.

Crowds of them showing up here in Dallas. Out of work State license plates everywhere, AGAIN. Just like the `70s when Carter was inflating and stagnating.

I would like to be around when some of the invaders go up against the "illegal at the regester" in the local burger slop that speaks "engrish."

From what I read a while back about turning part of Detroit to gardens is that removal of all the cement, roadways, driveways and basements is cost prohibitive.. Then you also have curbs, fill for basements etc. Not feasible
