Ron Paul Supporters Walk Out of Rumsfeld Tribute
Fox News ^ | February 10, 2011

Posted on 02/10/2011 2:16:35 PM PST by speciallybland

A steady stream of Texas Rep. Ron Paul's supporters walked out of a planned tribute for Donald Rumsfeld at CPAC Thursday afternoon. The walk-out had been planned ahead of time in part by Campaign for Liberty organizers and it seemed to be supported by more than 100 CPAC attendees.

The former defense secretary was also booed when took to the stage. There seemed to be a back-and-forth between Paul supporters and other CPAC attendees trying to drown each other out while Rumsfeld watched.

Former Vice President Dick Cheney then took the stage, but the heckling did not stop in what was an amazing display of friction. Someone in the crowd yelled to Cheney above the din "draft dodger." Nonetheless, the crowd is overwhelmingly warm to Rumsfeld, who eventually took his place in the presentation.

I don’t agree on everything with Rumsfeld, but the oomPauloompas are out of line here.

I’m here at CPAC doing a booksigning, and the “Anti-War” nuts are just everywhere. I wonder how the Paulites get so many people infiltrated into this meeting??

JimRob called it an "effin circus" earlier today.

Spot on indeed. American conservatism is comprised of three indissoluble principles; social values, national defense, and classic economic liberalism. A movement that includes those who categorically reject one of those ethos is not a big tent. It is a circus.

The Paul supporters should get their own event, the LPAC- Libtardarian Political Action Committee.

CPAC is done....between the Paulinista's (fruitloops of the first magnitude), sprinkled with rump rangers and dykes, the CPAC will hand the straw poll to Ron Paul, as planned, and we can see that the Tea Party is nowhere to be found in numbers at THIS kinda event.

I was very disappointed that Michelle Bachman wanted anything to do with this sorry-ass bunch.

Between the sodomites and the Paulistinians, CPAC is a joke whose punchline needs to be gotten over with.

Ah, let us not forget "their" accepting as "one of them," the BOTTOM-FEEDING, Islamo-Fascist, Hamas/Hizbollah, supporting, SCUMBAG (and one who has caused tremendous damage to our Republic)...phony, pseudo "Conservative," Grover Norquist.

Seems the Paulites and Code Pink have much in common.

Wrong.

Paul fans would die for freedom.

Code Pinkos would kill to stop it.

Today is a good day to die.
I didn't say for whom.

Watching events out of CPAC this year has been a lot like watching a tractor inner-tube deflate.

Deflated inner-tubes are unable to support much.

And so goes the deflated CPAC...

Ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss...

"Paul fans would die for freedom."

When does a Paulhriod fight for freedom? When the foreign forces are actually inside our borders?

/ rhetorical question...cause we all know they are crazy

That is sad, the guy has spent his whole life serving this country. It isn’t like he is running for office or wants to force his views.

He is only sharing his view.

Very disrespectful.

Working here in Austin Texas, I often see "911/inside job" AND "Ron Paul" stickers on the same car....usually driving into or out of a local "head shop" right off one of the highways here.

It make you wonder what is in the water at Lake Jackson, Texas which compels those people to keep reelecting this America blaming traitor.

Is Lake Jackson a community of head shops and Taco Bells?

You're right...there is a difference between Ron Paul and Medea Benjamin.

Paul would watch our Middle East allies be overrun by the Muslim Brotherhood from the safe confines within U.S. borders, while Medea would prefer a Jane Fonda VC tank-style front row seat, while cheering her co-jihadists onto caliphate victory.

The result would be the same, but they definitely differ in their style.

When does a Paulhriod fight for freedom?

Ron Paul was an Air Force flight surgeon, and has been the most consistent pro-Constitution Congressman in office during this century. He makes mistakes, and goofy statements once in a while, but he's at least 95% right and is a staunch pro-life, conservative, pro-freedom Constitutionalist.

Paul has the most conservative voting record of any member of Congress since 1937.

Geez, do they have the interwebs where you live?
