This is a huge lesson in political culture. It also shows just how bad the media coverage has been. Mubarak is not resigning. He’s managing the “reform” process. He is appointing a committee to study constitutional changes. He will decide when there are elections. He is going to “consider” changing the emergency law. He basically said: I am an Arab warrior, not a community organizer. That speech should be required reading for anyone who wants to understand the Middle East.
This is not over yet. There has been no revolution so far, but the protesters are going to freak out. If Obama has been interpreted as applauding real and major change, either he didn’t know what Mubarak was going to say or he is going to look like a total fool.
When Mubarak said he won’t accept outside advice, that was a direct slap at Obama. Can you imagine the expression on Obama’s face as he watched the speech after being told by his intelligence that Mubarak resigned? After he made a speech about how the youth had forced change? If I had to summarize it, tabloid-style, I’d say: “Mubarak to Obama: Drop Dead!“
The regime is not giving in — Mubarak will leave office, perhaps in September, but the regime will fight on. The speech was the equivalent of Charles Bronson or Clint Eastwood saying: Come and get me!
Of course, we should not forget that this is a dictator refusing to step down. Mubarak and the army knew that this would inflame the crowd. The army would not have agreed to this unless it was willing to deal with the consequences.

Perhaps. An alternative scenario is that Soros and his other controllers are telling him he is doing a great job. After all, the goal is to destroy America. Making its leader look like a fool is just one act in the play.
As long as Obama can jet around the country, spouting off the words on his telepromter while listening to the applause of the carefully selected crowds and the lapdog media his ego will be fine.
This community organizer will take it just like he always has and try to spin it in his favor.
He doesn't know how to get what he wants. All he knows how to do is lie.
Here’s an excerpt of an interview Kathryn Jean Lopez did with Rubin BEFORE Mubarak’s speech- when we thought he was resigning:
Lopez: Did the U.S. and international media influence events there? For better or for worse?
Rubin: Much less than they think.
Lopez: How might you beg the Obama administration to respond?
Rubin: I think it has already responded, with rejoicing about how people power has brought a transition to democracy. Save that sound bite — it might come back to haunt him in the future. Unless the situation in Egypt turns out really well, he’s going to look very bad.
As a registered Democrat, I hate to say it, but he sounded more like a community organizer than a president in his response. There was no trace of a national-interests approach, or any caution, or any sense of how this would damage U.S. allies.
On this same day, the highest-ranking U.S. intelligence official in Senate testimony described the Muslim Brotherhood as a largely secular organization that eschews violence. Most people will focus on the first stupidity but it is the second that is really incredible. After all, the Brotherhood advocates murdering Americans in Iraq and its leader has called for jihad against America.
The level of leadership and the knowledge base of the executive branch is so low as to be shocking. I’ve been talking to people from different countries who say things like, “How can Americans be so naïve?”
Lopez: Who are America’s friends in Egypt? Who are clearly not?
Rubin: The friend is the regime, like it or not, possibly the army though it can turn toward radical nationalism very fast if it decides that serves its interests. The enemies are not only the Islamists but also another group that may be almost or just as large, the radical nationalists.
There will be a military take over in that country.
Whether that makes it worse or better is a guess.

The main, bottom line for Obama's failures is what was the major objection by conservatives during his campaign - No experience as a leader or administrative capabilities. Electing Obama to run this country was like apointing a new intern to run a hospital. An intern might be smart enough to get through medical school, but has no background in business, management, diplomacy, tact, clever negotiation, and savvy decision making. So it is with Obama. He is always out-smartted and out-classed by every other country's leaders. What a joke he must be to all of them.
Obozo is a joke, but it is a very bad joke on the U.S. that he has power. It is time for "RecordsGate". Not sure who will produce them, but I think they are coming. It is out there, when the right people want it released.

Obama, his minions and allies, including State, the media, and all the international leftists and wannabee revolutionaries have been all playing their tried-and-true "inevitability" game, with the goal of putting the MB in power in Egypt. "The outcome is pre-ordained." "The will of the people will not be denied." And so on.
However, the opposition here is not the American GOP, which can be relied upon to roll over and display its fuzzy belly. Mubarak has been dealing with dangerous folks for a long, long time. I doubt he's all that impressed by Code Pink.
So now the MalAdministration looks undermining, dishonest and stupid, all of which is entirely appropriate.
What's next in Egypt? Depends on how strong a hand MB and its leftist allies think they actually have. Mubarik wouldn't have given today's speech unless he could count on substantial support from the Army. The leftislamic coalition is likely to continue agitating at a level short of major violence, with an eye on the fall elections.

My respect for Mubarak has grown ten fold. He may be on his way out, but he is a full grown leader trying to save his country from leaderless ruin. He could easily cut and run leaving his country to the chaos of the community organizers. We clearly don’t have leadership of that caliber in this country. Obama can neither grasp the nature of the problem or be consistent in trying to aid the people of Egypt in finding a peaceful solution. Community organizers don’t solve problems they agitate mobs to disrupt as if the destruction was the solution.
Apparently he takes the "Carter II" thing to heart.
This will fall out close to the way the king of Saudi Arabia wants it to and not the way the community organizer wants it to.
For starters, I’m thinking King Abdullah wants stability for the Suez Canal.
