New CPAC chief: We might have to dump GOProud for taunting the boycotters

This smells like a pretext to drop them from next year’s conference, thereby clearing the way for socially conservative boycotters to return. Even so, although I support GOProud, I admit to cringing a bit at Chris Barron goofing on boycotters as having exiled themselves to the “Island of Political Misfit Toys” or whatever. It’s not that DeMint et al. can’t take it — Barron himself, I’m sure, could offer a few insights from his formative years about dealing with taunts and name-calling — but doing an end-zone dance over such a contentious disagreement is foolishly and needlessly alienating. And as Barron himself admits, some of his criticism is gratuitously nasty and unfair to its targets:

The new chair of the American Conservative Union, Al Cardenas, today distanced his organization from GOProud, telling FrumForum in an exclusive interview that “it’s going to be difficult to continue the relationship” with the gay conservative organization…

“I have been disappointed with their website and their quotes in the media, taunting organizations that are respected in our movement and part of our movement, and that’s not acceptable. And that puts them in a difficult light in terms of how I view things,” said Cardenas.

GOProud sounds like a bunch of bullies to me. They've adopted the leftist tactics of ridiculing and marginalizing their opponents--so what makes them conservatives?

they are leftists.
They used to be called log cabins but nearly two years ago they were busted for being Dem backed, voting Dem etc.
Couple of months of being busted and then this group pops up.

Same people different name who are there to divide conservatives, infiltrate conservative movements and sadly we still have some dopes who fall for their tactics.

They need to go as their own manifesto is all about homosexual rights and it is all liberal pus why are libertarians there anyway, hell some of them are more liberal on social issues than many on the left, infact most on the left.

If you are conservative socially and fiscally then welcome but don’t call yourselves conservatives when you have liberal communist views or where you put yourself into a group like the left does

They are a bunch of limp wristed whiners. Either you celebrate their sexual perversion, or you all are bigots. As far as I am concerned they can stay in the democrat party or accept the fact conservatives don't play identity politics.

The GOP has not decided which is more important yet:

#1 - social reformation and a return to Christian values upon which the country was founded, or

#2 - financial reformation and a return to fiscal sanity and elimination of debt

Based on history (Roman empire), you cannot get #2 without #1. The longer the GOP waits, the more important the Tea Party will be to lead us out of this mess.

Exactly, it’s a covert Dem group trying to drive a wedge in the movement. The CPAC folks WANTED to believe they were legit so they fell for it.

All faggots are leftists. Their disease demands to be recognized and applauded and only leftists would accept such perversion.

If you ever hear someone saying:
"I'm a gay Christian"
"I'm a gay republican"
"I'm a gay conservative"
"I'm a gay good parent"
You can trust the fact that anything after "gay" is a lie. Their entire life revolves around their sexual perversion. Nothing else matters to them. They truly are sick people.

The second law of homosexuality:
To the mentally healthy (heterosexual), sex is something you do.
To the mentally diseased ("homosexual"), sex is everything you are.

Why would Gays be Republicans in the first place?

Spot on. All of those conditions are mutually exclusive. You cannot be both. Furthermore, actual Christians (and Jews), actual conservatives and actual Republicans should not make common cause with such disingenous, confused people. They are to be reproached, not caucused with.

And no, I don't care if I offend "our gay allies" by posting this. They can go pound sand with their buddies the Democrats. The time for "sensitivity", dissembling and prevaricating is long over. Now is the time for clarity, focus and action. If the perverts won't go on their own, tar and feathers will do nicely.

AMEN to that!

Since tar is hard to come by these days, maybe using driveway sealer could substitute? You can pick it up at Lowes and it comes in easy to carry 5 gallon jugs!

Just an idea......

I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. If they were truly conservatives they would have used their privilege to build bridges, not descend into liberal name calling. As far as I’m concerned they must be purged from the party as they are now shown to be arrogant liberals.

"If they were truly conservatives..."

...we wouldn't know a thing about their sexual preferences, because they wouldn't consider it to be the key critereon of their organization.

What did CPAC expect from these kooks? Are they that naive?

Really, what was the upside for CPAC in doing this? None, yet you bring in a small group of liberals, piss off your core supporters and then are stunned when it blows up in your face. Sounds like the bunch running CPAC got their training under the obama administrations foreign policy team—clueless.
