President Obama celebrated the resignation of Hosni Mubarak on Friday, declaring that the president of Egypt “responded to the Egyptian people’s hunger for change.”

“Egypt will never be the same,” Obama said in a statement, optimistically. “But this is not the end of Egypt's transition. It's a beginning. I'm sure there will be difficult days ahead, and many questions remain unanswered.”

Obama called on the Egyptian military, which is now in charge in Cairo, to oversee a transition to power peacefully by protecting the people, lifting an emergency law and revising the constitution. Referring to the Berlin Wall and to Gandhi, he said, “Egyptians have inspired us,” and he praised protesters’ “nonviolence” and “moral force” to achieve their means.

“He will take credit for this if it turns out good. If not it will be Bush’s fault.”

The Egyptian people deserve the credit if it turns out good and it is the Egyptian people who must take responsibility if it does not.

>>No doubt they have taken a leap of faith. But, it is a chance worth taking.<<

It worked for us a couple centuries ago. Usually, though, it is a step down. I think of Iran, South Africa, etc.

>>The target is Israel. This is just another move leading up to that day when......<<

...when Ezekiel 39 unfolds.

Interestingly, for many, many centuries people had a hard time with Ezekiel 39 because there was no “Israel”. It was as relevant as Canaan.

Then came 1948, and everything changed.

What is the makeup of the population there. Are there enough, er, “committed Muslims” to pull the whole thing down into a jihadic misery?

“But this is not the end of Egypt's transition. It's a beginning. I'm sure there will be difficult days ahead, and many questions remain unanswered.”

He should be saying this in his native Arabic. It would have more impact, and the American press wouldn't have to cover it to have people like us rip to shreds as the Alinsky/Mahdi cipher that it is.

Today is a good day to die.
I didn't say for whom.

Barry’s speech started on the car radio and about halfway through I broke into a spontaneous chorus of “Kumbaya.”

America’s greatest sin. The greatest crime against humanity and the beginning of many genocides.

He has already created 2 years of MB plans which are in the works today..the mid east and Islam have been seeded for consolidation .... and there are another two years in front of us...I doubt we can make it unscathed.

So a million or so Americans can gather in front of the White House, tossing rocks and stuff and demand the usurper-in-chief to resign and that’s all there is to it? Let’s go!

Funny how they literally orgasm over the peoples revolution for democracy but the peaceful tea party revolution is the enemy. Would he rejoice at the same unruly crowds pummeling the Whitehouse demanding his resignation? I think not

The professional class are largely secular but do not make-up a majority in the country. However, if you walk the streets of Cairo or Alex, you will not encounter as many radical Muslims as you would in Saudi Arabia.

The bottom line is that there is no way the military will cede power to radical Muslims.

With Jerusalem and Mecca and Medina in the crosshairs for the caliphate, and seeing what just took place in Egypt and our leader’s involvement in the uprising there, I wouldn’t be surprised if Israel and Saudi Arabia have a completely different perspective about Obama today. What that portends going forward only time will tell.
