My, you are colorful tonight, kiddo!
Between Ricky’s latest faux pas with our girl, and the concern trolls on the CPAC straw poll results threads about Sarah “losing” to a 75 year old nutball who will NEVER be President, and with Don Rumsfeld’s approval of gays serving openly in the military, I’m almost ready to call it a night!
But hey, I’m a Class of ‘98.
I can take it. ;)
LOL. You merit another colorful BTTT [which I saved from vox_freedom]. I just spotted that Rumsfeld thread ... old goats need to go to pasture.
I am going to call it a night for a while, [class of ‘99...lol] because I have 3 movies from Netflix and a husband anxious for me to watch one with him.
Hugs & Prayers, exit82
Same to you, onyx. You’re a treasure.
“If he couldnt get re-elected Senator, how does he expect to get elected POTUS?”
I’ve never understood that reasoning. There’s such a huge difference between a Senate and Presidential race, it’s not even comparable. Santorum ran against a BELOVED NAME in PA in ‘06, not a particularly good GOP year, and in a state that is far bluer than red. Could Sarah Palin get elected in PA? Could she get reelected Gov of AK? Did Nixon make it to the White House after losing a CA gubernatorial race?
I don’t see Santorum walking away with the ‘12 GOP presidential nomination, but losing a single Senate race shouldn’t put him or anyone else in the unelectable category.
Palin is a vengeful woman. I don’t begrudge her for that. I am sure she considers herself a victim and does not like to be the piñata. Anymore.
Good for her and her family.
However, anyone who claims that she can become POTUS with such vengeful attitude is dreaming beyond dreams.
No way. None.
Both Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh are untouchable by attacks from all sides of the political spectrum. Their fans/supporters/followers are very loyal. I've always said Rush is like a big brother. Well, Sarah Palin is like a sister to me as well. In families, when someone attacks one of us, they attack all of us.
“Dont step on Supermans cape, dont spit into the well and dont mess around with Sarah.”
Don’t forgot: ‘...you don’t pull the mask off the ol’ Lone Ranger’...
He didn’t just lose a senate race. He was crushed. The worst margin ever for an incumbent senator. This in what is now, just 4 years later, very RED Pennsylvania.
Yeah, he ran against a BELOVED NAME, his opponent’s father’s name.
“Why is he bashing her? I thought he had the same conservative values that she has. What is he afraid of?”
A good question. And quite disturbing you even needed to ask it.
Last I knew he was a level headed guy.
All of this simply proves how hopelessly corrupt and self-serving our political system has become.
Got his marching orders from the elite would be my guess.
Palin is neither vengeful nor a victim. She merely stands up to bullies and doesn't back down.
lol
A good question. And quite disturbing you even needed to ask it.
I'll tell you why. Because by making snide comments to a media who delights in this sort of thing against Palin, he makes points with them. He felt more comfortable dissing her than defending her. The GOP morons, like Santorum, never learn that the MSM isn't going to be their friend. They are tools. If you want to know who the real men in the Republican party are, look for the ones who defend Palin. Pretty hard to find, aren't they?
IIRC, Sarah did say that she was too busy with other activities to go to CPAC. She does have kids, and apparently she does support them.
So the controversy here must be about Sarah's being paid, right? According to Politico, Santorum somehow insulted Palin by pointing out that she is compensated for her work. It's practically a blood libel!
Why is Politico still in business? I mean, what's the point?
Then this story must really get your goat: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2672890/posts
In the same line, Herman Cain couldn’t win his primary for the senate—so now he’s running for president?
All of this simply proves how hopelessly corrupt and self-serving our political system has become.
Of the many reasons I support Palin for president, that is one of the biggest. I simply don't trust anyone associated with anything "inside the beltway". Not that everyone there is bad but we need a leader who is proven uncorrupted to ride herd over the DC cesspool.
