CHICAGO—A larger-than-expected exodus over the past 10 years reduced the population of Chicago to a level not seen in nearly a century.
The U.S. Census Bureau reported Tuesday that during the decade ended in 2010, Chicago's population fell 6.9% to 2,695,598 people, fewer than the 2.7 million reported back in 1920.
Chicago's Exodus View Interactive ..After peaking at 3.62 million people in 1950, Chicago underwent a half century of decline that ended only when the 1990s boom years produced a small gain in the 2000 count. At that time, the city loudly celebrated its comeback.
But the recent recession accelerated a migration both to the metropolitan area's farthest suburbs and to the Southern U.S. Chicago nonetheless is expected to remain the nation's third-largest city, behind New York and Los Angeles and just ahead of Houston, for which final census numbers aren't in yet.
The exodus took a big chunk out of the city's black population in particular, shrinking it to 887,608 from 1,065,009, according to William Frey, a demographer at the Brookings Institution think tank in Washington.

Chicago and it's influence, it's political climate, the ugliness of the land and the people who populated it -- conservatives excepted.
Almost all of the people who left were black.
I am saying the white flight has been going on since the 1960s.
Maybe conservatives will find that their votes are counted outside liberal hell holes as well.
I had heard that there has been a big migration of blacks from north to south of late. The report I heard said the reason was that they were seeking job opportunities.
IMO, the Chicago census is really an indicator for voter fraud I vestigations. Forget the social analysis, let’s go for some voter roll cleanup.
And I live in Chicago, thirty-two years. It’s still a great city in my opinion but it’s frayed at the edges. I am worried.

Not just conservative states but conservative counties of conservative States.
Where liberals go they bring wast and desolation with their votes. That is the liberals that don’t learn from their mistakes and follow the oldest rule in the book.(when in Rome do as the Romans)
Leftists try to make it impossible to do the right and decent thing, like clean up voter roles or demand a drivers license to vote.

They refer to a decrease in the black population, but don’t attribute it to one of real leading causes: abortion. All US cities are evolving into Latino reservations with a “black section”.
I had also read a piece about a year ago in which it was predicted that of the top ten largest cities in 2010, only one would have a real “winter” (it was either NYC or DC). All of the rest of the northern cities were going to de-populate as a result of heating fuel costs combined with general hostility to business and high costs of living. I take things like that with a grain of salt, but electorally it is slowly shaking out that way...
LOL, just heard that last night on the radio. The woman was demanding more community organizing and her major suggestion was getting local gangs to act as police for their own neighborhoods.
They couldn’t buy their kids an ice cream cone and so they were selling drugs, but give them a job and a badge and they’d go legit.
That’s the insanity emanating out of Chicago.

It’s a highly risky personal undertaking, but if the Tea Party in Illinois were to focus on voter fraud investigations for the next two years, a lot of things would change. cook County is a major source of democratic votes in Illinois and the nation. the voter maps showing red and black counties is amazing in the spikes in Cook County, NYC and areas out west I can’t recall. It’s all voter fraud.
