you know it’s true? They’ve got my MIL hooked on rat poison for a blood thinner, now closing all the places that regulate it, she’s 89 so one of us will have to drive miles now for her. When she got sick this winter with a skin condition, they prescribed hillbilly heroin, had her in the ozone. and yes, she voted for Obamaramadingdong

President Obama thrust himself and his political operation...

This guy has to be the biggest ass to occupy in the oval office. If he wants to be a governor so badly he should run for the job! Otherwise keep out of the way! He's got his own budget to fix and not doing a damned thing about it!

I’m taking off work Sat and driving on over to Wi.

Have a safe trip! Many of us, too far away, can only be there in spirit.

Someone in charge should find out which teachers are protesting and see if they called in sick. They can be fired for playing hookey, right?

If the teachers have union “tenure”, even a nuclear bomb blast couldn’t remove them from their jobs.

Thank you! It will be a relatively short trip. About 3 hours or so. But I’m not too good with direction so a little nervous:)

I think a modest little 3 hour protest on Saturday looks weak. They’d be better off staying home and letting last November’s election speak to their numbers.

I’m tempted to call “coward” on you, but I just want to make sure first that you actually mean what you said. You think that Tea Party schools are a bad idea because the left would smear them? Because if that’s your reason, and that’s what your post did indeed say, I would say that such cowardice is what is wrong with conservatives.

We should back down on such issues out of fear of a media beating from the left, as though we’re trolls shackled under a bridge where we live and retreat to when beaten back by our leftist masters on the rare occasions we dare to stick our necks out?

When one is king of the world in His own mind, a financial issue going on in one of the 57 states He has dominion over is a minor matter, particularly when He has so much strife going on in His Middle East provinces to concern Himself with.

He can raise all the hell he wants. I kinda wish TN could have been first. We welcome moonbats of all mental affliction to get whacked.

Isn’t TN a right-to-work state?

Collective bargaining for teachers was enacted in 1978 by Gov. Ray Blanton. (his story is pretty wild). The TEA (no relation) has made serious inroads to bargaining since then. It is going away. Yes, TN is RTW.

BTW “Collective” anything should scare the crap out of freedom loving individualists.

Thanks. Any quick blurb you can share about Blanton? We’re selling and moving to eastern TN as soon as we can, house going on the market next month. So I’m interested in all things TN. We can’t wait to get out of here (CA). I feel like a gulag dweller in the state I grew up in. It feels like a third world hellhole now. Oh. It IS a thrid world hell hole now.

So sad. It used to be magnificent.

Blanton was hell. When he lost the election he started releasing prisoners left and right. Alexander had to be sworn in early to stop the madness. My choice for you is Loudon County at one of the lake front villages. Tellico and Rarity properties are quite nice and a fraction of CA. costs. No income tax, car registration 24.50, and a total 9.5 sales tax. It is 15 minutes to Knoxville and 40 minutes to the Smokies. If you like winter check out this site: http://www.highonleconte.com/

We’ve been finding that most of the lakefront properties are in HOAs. We’re in an HOA now. I will eat ground glass and crawl over hot coals to avoid ever being in one again. But yes, we are looking for lakefront or close to a lake with a marina with slips for the boat or a place that backs up to national forest for hunting but near a lake and marina or a meadow that backs up to forest near a lake and marina. In other words, either hunting or fishing (or both) from the property with access to the other nearby (we figure we’ll have to renovate, add on or remodel whatever house is there because most of the homes we’ve seen on real estate websites just don’t suit our style). I understand that the several lakes in eastern.NE TN are all good fising lakes. True?

But mostly, we want to live among our own kind. We are sick of “minorities” and foreigners. We are sick to death of lefties. But most of all, above all other considerations, we are sick to our stomachs of this thieving, stifling gestapo state government. The people of eastern TN are just about the nicest and most gracious people we could ever want to know. It’s a beautiful place full of conservative people with traditional values and lots of talents.

What do you think of the Tri-cities area?
