So, now what happens? Does it have to go to the Senate, and then obama? Does this actually have a chance of passing, for real?? Praise the Lord if it does!!!

Even if it doesn't pass right now, the fact that the GOP is showing some GUTS is a great thing.

If the Senate+Obama blocks this, we'll get it done in 2013.

This is to defund for the current fiscal year so it must pass the Senate and both will have to override the certain obama veto.

The good news is for the new fiscal year if the House doesn’t appropriate the funds then there are no funds. The House must approve. Nothing zero or the senate can do about it.

As you can see, this as a symbolic vote that does nothing this fiscal year, but if the House sticks with this vote for next year’s funding it is over for PP.

Goes to Senate, then a House-Senate Conference Committee to work out the differences then the House and Senate have to pass the exact same version to send it to Obama.

I'm no expert, but all spending must be initiated in the House. It seems to me that if the House doesn't want to make an expenditure, they don't put it in the budget. Therefore, nobody else can introduce it. It looks to me that Planned Parenthood support is DOA -- at least that is what I sincerely pray.

not enough non rino pubbies in the Senate to pass the bill in the Senate OR cut off debate (cloture) and even if they did YO bama would veto it..............

takes 67 votes in the Senate to over-ride a veto and 287 in the house...............so it’s a moral victory, for now

most likely, I predict, if YO bama wants to not shut the gov’t down in March, the house pubs will include this legislation in the CR and demand this bill be given a pass by the dims................
