There is one hell of a lot about Representative Wu (D. Portlandia) that has not been related in public yet, and there is just no telling what he has been up to.
But in the Land of Niel Goldschmidt and Sam Adams, David Wu is a near perfect fit. While DC Staffers may not approve of him there are plenty in his District who do, and will reelect him no matter what or who he has been up to.
It will be interesting when one of these former staffers of his finally spills her guts, and I have no doubt that will happen in the coming months. Whatever it is that was going on was bad enough to force mass resignations of his staff, and that kind of word gets around, especially among a group of professional women who no doubt look out for one another.
Developing....
Yep, the PERFECT representative for Multnomah county. This is why Oregon is a blue state. People are INSANE in the largest metro area of the state.
It’s not that, Portland Oregon is a bastion of socialism and has been since the 1800’s. It’s also the largest metro area in the state. Its all in the numbers, and yes those numbers are dyed the same as berkley liberals. The rest of CD 1 is largely conservative, just overwhelmed by the sheer numbers.
I’m crazy about wu, too.
Course it didn’t stop his staff from getting him elected and stuffing the ballot box. Welcome to the Peoples Republic of Portland.
Pray for Oregon
Here he is when we were campaigning against him:

Does Old What’s Her Name know???
“Great, another Alan Grayson.
Kinda disturbing he got re-elected. Gerrymandered district? “
No, just the typical liberal nutbag elected by Multnomah County, like the rest of the worthless ones in Oregon.
Actually, Wu represents Washington County, Oregon. Beaverton, and Tigard are part of his district which is just outside of the Portland city limits. Unfortunately he has been my rep for many years, although I have never voted for him. You are correct, however, that there are way too many nuts in the Portland area now! We have been invaded by Californians continually since my childhood so it has gotten worse through the years.
Katy tried
I was halfway crucified
I was on the other side
Of no tomorrow
You walked in
And my life began again
Just when I’d spent the last piaster
I could borrow
All night long
We would sing that stupid song
And every word we sang
I knew was true
Are you with me Doctor Wu
Are you really just a shadow
Of the man that I once knew
Are you crazy are you high
Or just an ordinary guy
Have you done all you can do
Are you with me Doctor
Don’t seem right
I’ve been strung out here all night
I’ve been waiting for the taste
You said you’d bring to me
Biscayne Bay
Where the Cuban gentlemen sleep all day
I went searching for the song
You used to sing to me
Katy lies
You could see it in her eyes
But imagine my surprise
When I saw you
Are you with me Doctor Wu
Are you really just a shadow
Of the man that I once knew
She is lovely yes she’s sly
And you’re an ordinary guy
Has she finally got to you
Can you hear me Doctor

Wu’s CD is mostly suburban, but it does include part of Portland (which is how he has survived strong challenges in the past).
Parts of Oregon. Lars Larson put a frame around the hole that Wu punched in his studio wall when the questioning got tough.
My apologies, you are correct!
I’ll say it right now: If this guy were a Republican, we would know EXACTLY by now what constitutes “disturbing” and “untoward” behavoir and not have to guess what it might be.
As always, the media gets demure when it comes to Democrat behavior.
He’s my Rep. A completely gerrymandered district. I live in a fairly conservative area, but 60% of our district is in low-income areas of Portland and Hispanic areas of surrounding Washington county.
I’m in Wu’s district as well. SW suburbs that are part of the gerrymandered minority for his district.
A good part of Wu’s district is in Washington county. I know, because I live in it.
I am in Newberg, I feel your pain my friend I really do.
When we built our home, after looking for a lot for 5.5 years, we found one that was outside of the UGB so that we would be as far away from Metro politics as possible. Now, our street is the UGB.
I guess you can run, but you can’t hide. ;o)
