Two Protestant churches are taking some heat from critics for opening their church buildings to Muslims needing places to worship because their own facilities were either too small, or under construction.

And all they will do is spit on the floor and piss on the alter. They have done that elsewhere and will do it there.

If the muslims want to use the Christian facility, they should convert.

"Can you name any incident where He clearly and unquestionably zotted anyone within, say, the last half-century?"

Can you name any incident in the last half-century where someone got zotted and you can say it definitely wasn't God exercising his will? Is AIDs God's wrath against homosexuals? Was New Orleans' ordeal God's punishment? Nobody can't say for sure those aren't God's wrath and the Bible certainly suggests they are. Since you can't say for sure one way or the other it seems a bit presumptous to say as an absolute fact that "God isn't so active these days."

So the Christian Religion is on the decline and the muslins are increasing, so they say, “sure, you can use my place of worship. Oh yeah, I'll take down the cross when you need it.” What fools in that Church really are amazing.

When God says, “Do it ths way” He means it.

It just struck me as a bit harsh...when one thinks of sins that would invoke a heavenly Zot, one thinks of worshiping golden calves at the foot of Mt. Sinai...lighting incense from the wrong fire doesn't exactly spring to mind.

Heck, in the Genesis fable Cain murdered Abel, and all he got for his crime was a smudge on his forehead!

None of those can't just as easily be explained by known natural laws, it rains on the just and the unjust, good people sicken and die.

Since you can't say for sure one way or the other it seems a bit presumptous to say as an absolute fact that "God isn't so active these days."

Which is NOT what I said. That would be rather presumptuous of me. ;^)

"As I understand conventional Christian doctrine, Christ's death on the cross atones for mankind's original sin (Adam & Eve, the forbidden fruit, etc.), and all subsequent sin...correct?"

Ahh, but you stopped just short of answering the question. Why is such atonement necessary? What (or who) does it save us from? The point is Jesus is God saving us from himself. So in answer to your original question, yes God is very strict. So strict, he had to die to save us from his perfect rightousness.

2 John 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

So? God generally uses natural phenomenon to work his will.

"Heartsong Church in Cordova, Tenn., let members of the Memphis Islamic Center hold Ramadan prayers there last September. And Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Alexandria, Va., allows the Islamic Circle of North America to hold regular Friday prayers in their building while their new mosque is being built."

Not surprising. I don't think there are enough Christians left in United Methodism to care. Remember, this is the denomination that was busy worshipping the pagan goddess Sophia at the Re-imagining conference along with the Presbyterian Church-USA and ELCA way back in 1993.

So in one way you could see their opening the doors to Islam as getting closer to orthodoxy in the sense that although they stole Allah from the Arabic pagans, it is now a monotheistic religion.

This is what Heartsong's website has to say about their organization: "Heartsong is an innovative, contemporary church of growing Jesus followers who are on an adventure of a lifetime. At Heartsong you will find an open, honest, and accepting environment for building friendships with each other and Jesus."

In other words, Heartsong is part of the emerging church movement and it doesn't really matter at all what you believe, so long as you show up.

Hey, when King David was moving the Ark of the Covenant by oxcart back to Jerusalem, the oxen bucked or something and a guy named Uzzah put his hand on the cart to steady it. He was stricken dead on the spot. The Ark was that holy.

Anyway, these CINOs are going to pay the piper someday. Whoever wrote that wherever the muzzie “shahadah” is prayed that makes it a mosque forever is dead on right. Stupidity!!

BTW, I have heard there is a technique for rendering lard as thick as bullet lubricant, perfect for my .45 hollowpoints. Anyone got the recipe?

Im definatly not a muslim sympathyzer, and have always had troublekeeping this verse crystal clear in practice, but Jesus himself said to love you enemies.

Mat 5:43 You have heard that it was said, “You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.”
Mat 5:44 But I say to you, Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who despitefully use you and persecute you,
Mat 5:45 so that you may become sons of your Father in Heaven. For He makes His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

and in Romans Paul tells us

Rom 12:14 Bless those who persecute you; bless, and do not curse.
Rom 12:15 Rejoice with rejoicing ones, and weep with weeping ones;
Rom 12:16 minding the same thing toward one another, not minding high things, but yielding to the lowly. Do not be wise within yourselves.
Rom 12:17 Repay no one evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
Rom 12:18 If it is possible, as far as is in you, being in peace with all men.
Rom 12:19 not avenging yourselves, beloved, but giving place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”
Rom 12:20 Therefore if your enemy hungers, feed him. If he thirsts, give him drink. For in so doing you shall heap coals of fire on his head.
Rom 12:21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Its a KRAZY world we are living in!!!

Christ’s death on the cross - as the only man who never sinned - not even in thought was a substitionary sin for those who trust in God and no longer desire to be a slave to sin. The entire priesthood and sacrificial system in the Old Testament was to point to the work of Jesus Christ.

Perfect sacrifices were brought by individuals who desired their sins to be atoned for, they “transferred” their sin to the animal and a holy, (set apart) priest made the sacrifice. The priests were to be the mediators between the people and God and as such, they had to be set apart from the people. There were many cleansing rites to do that. One of them was to keep the altar burning using a specified fire. The sons of the high priest that were zapped with fire had rebelled against God in their hearts by doing what they wanted to do and not God.

Since sin is disobeying God, and the penalty for that is death. Physical death is seen more in the Old Testament, but we know that it also is a representation of spiritual death - which is separation from God. These sons were to be set apart as the emissaries, the ambassadors for God, but their hearts were shown to be wicked for doing things their way and not as they were told. And so, God, being just, had to zap them. They were no longer able to be priests even though by that system, they could not do anything but be a priest.

So, there was really no alternative. Having done less than zapping them would have compromised the whole sacrificial system, which in reality points to Christ Jesus. Sin is serious and not to be taken lightly. Worshipping God in the way that He has told us is a delight beyond anything that can be put into words. And the opposite it true - worshipping God in our way, turning our back on Him willfully is wicked beyond words. What the priests did was not just a sin of their own, but they were putting ALL the Israelites at risk. Sin is serious and so is the punishment for it.

The sacrificial system is about the grace and goodness of God reaching out to sinners who realize they cannot please Him in anything they do because they sin and all sin deserves death (separation from God). Only God Himself can provide a way to reach down and save them from that dilemma. And that is only by faith in that He is the only one who can. but His purpose was to teach the seriousness of willful sinning.

Christ Jesus, God Himself in the flesh, came to be our sacrifice and our priest. All of the sacrificial system points to that.

Cain murdered Abel, and all he got for his crime was a smudge on his forehead!

No. Cain was rejected from the presence of God and his family who worshipped God and loved Him. He was sent out to the wilderness, never to experience true joy and happiness again. Even though Cain had rejected God, God through His grace still protected Cain. He had to live a lonely, bitter life, estranged forever from true joy and love. And he knew that before he killed his brother. Cain really had a worse punishment than the two sons of the high priest.

Giving the house of Christ over to the antichrist and his Ishmaelite hordes is unforgivable and grants satan the key to the church... in the name of what? The church becomes nothing more than an outhouse.
