Read the article some more and looked who conducted the poll.. I would take a look at the sampling..
It’s a fake poll intended to make Walker give in.
Why do you thing the RAT democrats who fled said they may not come back for weeks.
What they are saying is they won’t come back until the fake polls make Walker or some of the other GOP senators blink.
I am betting that the sample was a bit weighted towards those who could answer the phone, since they were not working.
Did the pollster ask if they supported a massive tax increase to pay for public sector unions bloated salary and benefits?
Who trusts the polls. The real poll was in November.
This strike is not about worker benefits, it’s about unionization of the state workers under a federal union, Obama’s SEIU.
That’s what Obamacare is about, as well, unionization of 1/5 of the economy under the SEIU. The health care workers on the West Coast are already part of the SEIU. Obama wants the insurance workes as well. He wants to control the whole country through the SEIU and he’s using the internet to do it, just like they did in Egypt.
Did you hear about that? Glenn Beck was on O’Reilly saying that he has seen proof that the US State department worked with Google to agitate the over throw of Mubarak. Now, Obama is working to over throw the state governments in the US.
[A majority disapproves of Walker’s generous proposal? WTH is wrong with people?]
They are lied to and misinformed by their liberal media.
NO FEDERAL BAILOUT!
Fine, let him raise property taxes, sales taxes, gasoline tax, sugar and fat tax, employment taxes... every damn tax on the books, then he should give himself a raise with increased benefits then leave for a long vacation... oh, and screw WI cheese...
It has to be a push poll.
I don’t buy the results of this poll. There was a thread up yesterday of a nationwide poll which showed that a strong majority of Americans side with Gov Walker’s position on the public unions.
Responsible Americans with jobs, families, and mortgages have polled strongly in favor of scaling back the wages and benefits of public employee union members.
Sounds like another poll of left-liberal slackers and parasites to me.
“On whether the Democratic senators should return to Madison, 55.99% said yes, 36.38% said no . . .”
That’s the real poll. A return by the senators means the legislation will be passed.
It has to be a push poll. The people elected Walker AND the Republicans when the Republicans openly said that they would rein in the power of the public unions.
Really? Wasn't this part of Walker's election campaign platform?
I never trust what I read in a left-wing rag. Especially not the headline.
Doing the right thing is rarely popular.
It was a poll of residents. The political polls should always be a poll of some kind of voters. Registered is okay, likely is better.
It is skewed to liberals, by the nature of the poll. If this were a national poll it would be skewed about 10% from likely voters poll results. In national polls this is usually called an Adult Poll because the poll is only polling based on someone, somewhere in Wisconsin, answering their phone.
You can check the truth by applying the rough difference in a voter poll with the adult/resident poll and just apply the roughly 10% difference. No one would be surprised that just 35% of the likely voters would support the obstruction of the legislature. 40% of the registered voters may even support that action. Texas legislators did the same action and the result was a veto proof republican Texas legislature.
Nice theater, but when you debate an opponent for reelection, not exactly a defensible position. It will bite them in the behind. The magic sauce applied in this kind poll, will not show up in their reelection bids and they know this.

I’m not buying it. Sorry MSM, good try.
I venture to say that 80-90% of the public doesn’t have a clue what Walker’s proposal actually is. They’ve been misinformed by the left-wing media and are falling for the big lie. Just like in 2008 when they voted for that worthless dirtbag communist for president.
AP AM drive time news on Friday, the headlines that are the primary news source for a majority of busy people, billed it as an “anti-union” measure, postured the teachers as martyrs and never once mentioned balancing the budget. The news is a snow job.
