A little off subject, but I'm sure we all have heard teachers bitching about all the work they take home at night and things they do on "their own time". Are they not aware that they are professional salaried employees? My husband has RARELY worked an 8 hour day in his entire career. He is salaried and works 10 to 12 hours a day and often is checking emails and working details on weekends.

Teachers need to stfu about work they take home - they work less than 7 hours a day at school, have weeks at a time off during the year plus all of the major holidays, plus an extended summer vacation.

Yes, they conveniently forget that many salaried employees in the private sector work much longer hours than the "normal" 8 but also work many more days than the 190 or so that teachers do.
