Politicians Watching Tapped-out Voters Rise Up In Anger are Getting Nervous (You can help)
Ronals Reagan Club ^ | February 20, 2011 | Vanity, Various

Listen up FReepers from all states. "High-Speed Rail" is a national problem (left to your children and grandchildren to support) not just a problem for Florida and a few other states. Liberals have all of us mapped out and in their sights.

This HUGE new government bureaucracy is getting ready to leave the station! And they will never pull the plug on this money pit. We will be told to subsidize it forever. Environmentalists, along with the msm and coordinating liberal groups, will have done their work and it will be "vital national emergency" to have and to keep rail vs cars.

A quick aside: How many unions will be interwoven into High-Speed Rail? Those same union bosses orchestrating the Madison march on the state capital (and their handmaidens hiding out in a resort in Illinois), who back each other up in “solidarity” in Wisconsin (Ohio) today will march in “solidarity” tomorrow over any plans to de-fund High-Speed Rail that WILL be coming to your state, YOU too will be asked to "contribute" your FAIR SHARE for the "health and prosperity" of the state and the country and Mother Earth.

Read this then watch the video linked below, that clearly explains the High-Speed Rail scam being shoved down Floridians throats (It's an information ammunition clip).

You easily can substitute other government programs in your mind as you listen and watch about the scam that will pick taxpayers pockets to pay vendors (big and small) who will buy politicians through campaign cash "kick-backs" and keep them in office as reliable votes for more funding when those pesky cost overruns appear and they never have a "profitable" bottom line.

And as the number of pockets being filled grows, the miles of track for this gravy train will grow. A Nationwide Network of High-Speed Rail Corridors are being set up to keep the fat cats and their politicians happy and prosperous on our confiscated dollars (and we're not talking ticket prices here). The rail lines shown in that link will "of course" have to be connected.

Instead of building a High-Speed Rail system, this scam has been designed as a reliable, high speed transfer of tax payer money into politically connected pockets (everyone will "enjoy" the China and Buffet tie-ins and go, “Ah-ha! So that's it! Of course!"). And *think* how many JOBS they will tell us this will create....how High-Speed Rail is where the "working Americans" can find stable, reliable employment with good benefits -- more government workers!! (They just have to keep people unemployed and they will have to take these government and union jobs).

I guess when you have big players like China and Buffet (along with tens of thousands of others eye-balling that fat tit), you don't mind making up cartoon numbers and bottom lines to sell it to the suckers who will foot the bill for their profits. The video exposes the numbers and the lies.

Floridians should email this video to their congressman. The pol recipient needs to know that you have watched it with great alarm and anger and you have sent it to everyone in Florida you know and have asked them to send it to everyone they know, etc. [All FReepers need to distribute this information -- get it out to citizens and voters in all states.]

The video runs about 10 minutes but it packs a HUGE [[PUNCH]] because it explains things CLEARLY.

***((VIDEO)) New Tax Funded Ball and Chain ((VIDEO))***

And it isn't going to stop in Florida. The High-Speed Rail scam has planted seeds in many major cities. So click on the video link and watch what is set to happen in your state (It's probably already started with small inner city lines that keep expanding).

Politicians are watching tapped-out voters RISE UP IN ANGER.

They are nervous about informed citizens going to the polls and turning them out of office.

It's time to kick out any politician that backs High-Speed rail.

Here is one who already got the message.

Haridopolos flip-flops, sides with Gov. Rick Scott on rejecting rail dollars

If you watch the VIDEO you will understand that the “idea” of moving people” is a ploy, there is much more involved.

China needs workers busy and China needs to have a way to move these workers around their country en masse.

Think a few steps ahead.

Thanks for posting this. My Congressman, John Mica is really pushing for high-speed rail. He has a nearly perfect conservative voting record- except for this ONE issue. I will call his office this week and again ask if he is aware of all these connections.

It’s a “beautiful solution” and a way to control the work force.

High-Speed Rail union jobs are offered to unemployed Americans so as to build a network that will assist moving people into metro centers — where they can easily be transported via the same rail system they are building, the very rail system that will bankrupt free enterprise and grow government.

I have never been to Tampa but some years ago when the economy was very good I was able to afford a family vacation to Orlando, we have rented a vacation home there several times in january, a welcomed vacation from Alaska, not too warm to make us uncomfortable.

I really liked Orlando, but why on earth is their any kind of demand for people to whoosh between Tampa and Orlando?

I spent years in the Bay Area of San Jose and rode the BART trains a lot, but who is commuting? people who go to the theme parks don’t fly to Tampa, they go to Orlando.

I think its just a great big piece of smack candy from a street punk hoping to snare some addicts for future business. That is all Obama is doing, using big words of “investment” and “monorail” I mean its all about capturing and harvesting fantasy.

It’s the transfer of “wealth” to government employees, with an eye toward everyone being a government employee and the Obamas of the world appropriating the money according to our needs ala Castro’s Cuba.

It is unsustainable. It cripples the economy by destroying free enterprise and initiative, and enslaves people. But may limp along for 50 years or more.

And they DON’T have free health care and education. They have a miserable, failed existence that they can not escape.

Orlando is spread out for miles and miles north and south.

I have a business associate who got fed up with Long Island New york and moved his business and manufacturing plant to Orlando. Almost all of his employees came along.

I have another friend who runs a fairly large regional distribution operation there. They moved from Georgia

There is more there than theme parks

I wasn't that familiar with your Critter and I was curious, so....

CAREER PROFILE (SINCE 1989) Top Industries Representative John L. Mica

I wonder how Mica's air transpo donors are gonna feel about his support for the high speed rail boondoggle?

I don’t argue against security concerns. Gone too far, probably. Incompetently performed, no argument. Airports can choose to not use the TSA. More should do so.

However, rail as imagined by the current incarnation of statists, would be government built, government run. That’s worked out well for us in the past. The current occupant of the White House doesn’t take much shine to the quaint notions of liberty and freedom.

A low gas price is freedom to travel. I don’t think he likes that given what he’s doing to the gulf. Rail would be just another lever for government to squeeze liberty out of the commons.

Who’s proposing this? The government or free enterprise? Would government rail “compete” with air travel?

....If a government agent wanted to check someone’s papers upon arrival, I’m pretty sure a refusal would not be an option. When we traveled with cats last year, we were told we’d have to provided the vet paperwork upon arrival. If they can do it for cats, well...

The National Transportation and Safety Administration controls our movement and PETA controls the TSA so where in the hell does that leave any of us?

Alaska senators upset over TSA's Iditarod decision "ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Alaska's two U.S. senators are upset over the Transportation Security Administration's decision to cancel plans — under pressure from the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals — to recruit potential employees with a publicity campaign at the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. ......."

_________

AND there is the WEATHER BUG that Homeland Security has set up.

Are you on their map yet?

I am actually thinking of leaving Alaska on my motorcycle and riding down to Florida next winter, I have been laid off every year for the last four years all winter.
I don’t expect a better paying job, I just want continuous productivity. In Alaska its great during the summer but not working all winter is killing me because I do absolutely nothing.

I could be an on call snow plow driver, or drive a school bus but the competition is too fierce.

Interesting breakdown of contributions.

I call his office regularly- normally to thank him for a particular vote or to be sure they’re aware of this or that..but honestly, shamefully really, I’ve not paid as close attention to this damned high-speed rail because I ASSUMED (!) it would never get this far. I’ll spend some more time researching and be ready with my facts when I call on Tuesday.

Not sure exactly why our new governor said NO to the Fed $ this week- but it’s the right thing to do and he’s getting hell for it- lots of “recall the governor” chatter...
He’s a good guy- but it looks as though he’s fallen into a trap and he’s lost his nerve.

The video is well done. But you do not have to watch it to know that High Speed Rail is a boondogle. More government, useless enterprise, borrowed money, endless payments by taxpayers.

LeMieux needs to get his head straight on this too.

"...Nelson's former colleague, LeMieux, stood with the Democrat in calling for high-speed rail money. And he didn't back down this week. LeMieux said he's against "out-of-control spending" but it's too late to stop the rail money anyway..." Source

---------

[Feb 3, 2011] "...."I'm surely thinking about it," said LeMieux when asked directly about his plans to run for Senate in 2012, Florida Capital News reported.

Florida Sen. Bill Nelson is up for re-election in 2012 and the GOP is eager to pick off the two-term Democrat they view as highly vulnerable.

LeMieux was appointed to the Senate in 2009 by then-Gov. Charlie Crist to serve the remainder of former Sen. Mel Martinez's term. There has been widespread speculation ever since in Washington and the Sunshine State that LeMieux – a former Crist chief of staff — would challenge Nelson.

The former senator said he would make a decision "pretty soon," the news service reported.] Source

I live in NYS, so usually when I call a pol I get a demand to know which media outlet I’m with and then get hung up on. Our new Critter’s a good egg, though, and I’m hoping he stays that way. If we don’t get gerrymandered out of existence.
