First of all, I would bet that Mr. Klein is not just president and CEO at his place of employment but an owner (such that his wealth is not just limited to his salary).
Second, I'll bet he and his wife do plenty of business-related entertaining at this apartment so that he can write off part of the rent as a business and entertainment expense on his taxes.

I know these folks represent a totally different life style than we experience here in the midwest, but those prices astound me. Our medium priced home, here in my county is $67,000.00.
