The US government is offering private intelligence companies contracts to create software to manage "fake people" on social media sites and create the illusion of consensus on controversial issues.
The contract calls for the development of "Persona Management Software" which would help the user create and manage a variety of distinct fake profiles online. The job listing was discussed in recently leaked emails from the private security firm HBGary after an attack by internet activist last week.

According to the contract, the software would "protect the identity of government agencies" by employing a number of false signals to convince users that the poster is in fact a real person. A single user could manage unique background information and status updates for up to 10 fake people from a single computer.
The software enables the government to shield its identity through a number of different methods including the ability to assign unique IP addresses to each persona and the ability to make it appear as though the user is posting from other locations around the world.

But didn’t we just find out that Facebook itself has been implicated in letting personal information get out such as the individual’s contact information? How do you think you get all of those Constant Contact postings?
” Honestly, it really doesn’t matter to those of us who do our own thinking. “
The problem is that he who controls the percentage of the population that doesn’t have the time, inclination, or the brain cells to do so can, and too often does, control the swing vote, and can do unspeakable damage with it. Look around you for the proof.

I don’t get them.
So you have good filters, that doesn’t mean thy aren’t coming.
I looked in to using Constant Contact for my company and
found that they had strict policies about sending spam.

You did the right thing. The author just needs to check his spelling.
Vindication!
A Mega-Delphi moment.
lol. isn’t there another group that has the same ratio? “Fake” people...
Forgive my ignorance, what is that?
I use it too but the concept that people receive e-mails that seem to be personally sent to them only is the concept I was referring to. The big problem is that now with so many people loading up junk like facebook with personal information thinking it is secure is the wolf at the back door.
I have a facebook account with no personal information other than what was absolutely necessary to log in because my mother asked me to. In her early eighties, she can grasp the facebook concept much easier than e-mail for some silly reason. Added to the fact she is in Vegas and I am in Florida, if it makes it easier for her then I can live with it for as long as she is with us. But I still don’t talk about private stuff on it.
Woodrow Wilson, the father of American Progressives, set up his own governmental propaganda agency and specifically attacked freemarket businesses with divisive politics by labeling them.
Obama has been compared to many past Presidents but in my opinion takes on many of the traits Of Woodrow Wilson the first democrat President elected after the traitorous rebellion by the Confederate democrats of the South to wage Civil War.
Thanks!
I didn't make them exactly the same, but close enough. I think some ethnic group goes about 92/8.
I'm pretty sure they've been doing this kind of thing for a while - the big difference is software that allows one person to control so many fake 'people'...
Your government loves you. Go shopping. Buy stock.
Sincerely, not a robot.
