This is delicious. While the left is threatening to recall some Repub senators in an effort to overturn the results of the November 2010 election, a group in Salt Lake City has already filed paperwork to recall 8 Democrat state senators.

You gotta love it! I better check my popcorn inventory ;-)

Remember all this - just like the Flee Party Democrats holed up in Illinois and DOCTORGATE - has impact on several levels. There’s the immediate issue playing out in Madistan, but there’s also the public perception of Democrats, Liberals and Unions that is being formed in the minds of Independent voters (the kind who voted for Obama). They don’t like this kind of crap and these Democrat chickens are all going to “come home to roost”, to borrow Rev. Wrights phrase.

Making Rat Policy Work By Hijacking the Democratic Process

Dems are a menace to our nation and damn near everyone living here.

wisconsin1sm

The budget deficit in Wisconsin is $137 million this year. Over the next two years the projected deficit will rise to $3.6 billion. That's more than 10% of the $32 billion yearly budget. There are 5.6 million people living in the state. That's $5,714 per person. The per-capita income of the state is only $25,000. The people of Wisconsin are spending 20% of their total income on their state government. You can add another 20% to pay for the federal government and another 3% for local government. When you add it up, you'll find government makes up more than 40% of the economy. Spending 40% of our GDP to govern ourselves is insanity!

I am not familiar with the group in Utah and why they are getting involved. I would want to know how many recall elections in Wisconsin that they have participated in.

A local qualified elector from the election district needs to initiate the recall petition.

60 days is a short time and a group should be well organized before starting.

They need to form a Recall PAC Committee in Wisconsin.
Here is a manual for a recall.
http://gab.wi.gov/publications/manuals/recall.

There are specific rules on getting signatures and having them be witnessed properly. The candidate has the opportunity to challenge every signature and that the proper procedures were followed. Be prepared for a legal challenge.

I would recommend consulting with someone that has done this before. Need a small group to get it organized and a larger group to gather signatures.

It is not an easy process, but can bring a community together.

Realize that if successful, there will be a recall election that would include the current candidate. Too many other candidates will make it more difficult to remove the incumbent.

A group in Utah trying to recall Wisconsin Senators, huh? How is that legal? It doesn’t sound like they are doing this at the behest of a Wisconsin group and it not there is no standing to do anything.

I do not know this group from Utah. While there is website, it does not provide a lot of details, including whether they have filed Form GAB 1 for each senate district or if the petition signed by an elector in each district.

They may be well intentioned, but it doesn’t look like they have previously run a recall campaign. The web site indicates that they are looking for circulators. The 60 day limit is very exact and to be successful, each district should have enough signature circulators before they begin the 60 day period.

They are required to have one eligible elector in each district in order to start the recall process. There is also a financial disclosure that is required by a certain date. There is no indication of this on their web site.

You think this is a spoiler to harm a real recall effort?

The Utah group did file electronically a GAB 1.
http://gab.wi.gov/node/1610
They have to file a manual copy signed by a local elector.

The 60 day clock started with their electronic filing.

Perhaps it should be spelled The Flea Party.

After all they are blood suckers and parasites on us producers.

“”We don’t need outside agitators,” said communications director Graeme Zielinski. “It’s offensive to me that [Baltes] made those statements. They don’t fit in well with the traditions of Wisconsin.”

This is classic donkey-speak. Change the word Wisconsin to any old South state and you have a quote from a local Democrat about those trying to fight for the Civil Rights of African Americans in 1961.

They are probably a well intentioned group of 3 people listed on their web site. They shifted from recalling the Arizona sheriff to WI senators.

I will be surprised if they succeed without a significant ground base of organized support.

Don’t know how much money or effort that they will be able to raise for this recall work, but could hinder a local recall effort unless they provided their signatures to this group.
