“Get a little bloody:” It’s the union way

Thuggery? What thuggery? Oh, yeah. That thuggery:

A Democratic Congressman from Massachusetts is raising the stakes in the nation’s fight over the future of public employee unions, saying emails aren’t enough to show support and that it is time to “get a little bloody.”

“I’m proud to be here with people who understand that it’s more than just sending an email to get you going. Every once and awhile you need to get out on the streets and get a little bloody when necessary,” Rep. Mike Capuano (D-Ma.) told a crowd in Boston on Tuesday rallying in solidarity for Wisconsin union members. …

This is not Capuano’s first brush with violent rhetoric. Last month Capuano said, “Politicians, I think are too bland today. I don’t know what they believe in. Nothing wrong with throwing a coffee cup at someone if you’re doing it for human rights.”

Note that he said this from the safety of Boston rather than form the streets of Madison.

Unreported by the MSM, Tea Party protesters
and Conservatives were assaulted yesterday in Massachusetts
by the operatives of Deval Patrick and Pres. Obama.

The police IGNORED complaints and let attacks
continue even while they were being reported.

There is no Law under Patrick, Holder and Obama.
except for them, and terrorists, of course.

bloody when necessary,” Rep. Mike Capuano (D-Ma.) told a crowd in Boston on Tuesday rallying in solidarity for Wisconsin union members.

Mr. Capuano forgets that Americans don't mind getting a little bloody for their right cause either so, he better tread lightly because Americans are getting just about enough of unions and liberal/communists. If we are going to go down, fella, it's going to be a hell of a fight!

Someone track down his wife. Either he beats her or she beats him; and/or they both beat their dog.

Yeah, that's the Boston I remember.

Never thought I’d really see the day in America when Howard Dean looked sane.

Conservatives shouldn’t be afraid to prod the unionista parasites into showing their true faces.

He sounds just like bin-Laden and the the other al-qaeda leadership, urging his foot soldiers to gloriously put themselves in harm’s way while sitting in the comfort and safety of his stronghold.

These people would faint cold at the sight of blood. There's a better chance of Elton John winning an UFC/MMA title.

“Nothing wrong with throwing a coffee cup at someone if you’re doing it for human rights.”

Nothing wrong with kicking somebody’s butt for throwing coffee on you either.

If it is OK for unions and public sector workers to use violence and “get bloody”, then it is OK to use violence against them. QED

We’re all out of money - but the Public employees want more money.

Massachusetts has had a box to check in the state taxes for years - it’s called an Optional High Tax Rate.

Residents can check if they want to pay a higher rate instead of the current rate, very few do this (because they are not patriotic/huge sarc) Not even John Kerry has checked this box - I wonder if Capuano has checked the box - I will not hold my breath.....

I think we need to throw this back in their court - you want more money, here’s an avenue to get more money - an optional higher tax - those who appreciate the government and public employee pay standards can check those boxes - sell it to the taxpayer - give them an option....good luck!

If we could approach them with this ‘progressive’*snicker* idea in all states - their troubles would be over.

Wouldn’t ‘they who scream’ for more want to pay more for their public union brothers and sisters? Let’s find out!

Sounds like ACORN tactics: While ACORN claims to work with other members of the progressive movement in order to improve the lives of
low and moderate income Americans, this is clearly not the case. In May, 2002 ACORN opened a satellite office
in San Francisco, California. Low-income residents already had at least one civic organization working on their
behalf, the Outer Mission Resident’s Association (OMRA). Apparently, ACORN believed that the town simply wasn’t
big enough for both groups. According to the San Francisco Examiner, “ACORN soon began a process of intimidation
by busing in activists from Oakland to disrupt OMRA events. ACORN members then began showing up at
some neighbors homes, and in one case jabbed a person in the chest.”18
One of the main points of contention between the two groups was the objection by Steve Currier, the chief executive
of OMRA, to the fact that ACORN was charging for community events. It is not clear, however, that Currier’s
objection to paying would even matter to ACORN. OMRA member Robert Greco paid for one meeting with a
check and soon discovered that ACORN had taken the information from his check in order to continue billing him
for subsequent meetings he did not attend.
In addition to strong-arming fellow activists and defrauding citizens, ACORN also began to disrupt community
meetings with city officials. Fred Hamdun, the executive director of the City’s Parking and Traffic Department, said
of a meeting that ACORN attended, “I have to tell you, it was the most abusive meeting I’ve ever subjected myself
and my staff to, ever.”19 Hamdun’s experience was echoed by Currier who stated “they were spreading terror at
community meetings, trying to muscle established neighborhood groups out of the way.”

Back when Reich was Sec labor, I dimly recall a strike in which high power rifle shots were fired at a couple of buses (nobody was physically hurt).

Reich pointed to some labor law that allowed and condoned a certain amount of ruckus from unions. He therefore did nothing about the assault.

Can’t find it now, but it was posted on FR during the CoPresidency.
